Hi Guys,

I am sure Horny Mango is a favourite here. So I am wondering if the discolouration seen in my pic is normal. You can see the juice in my tank is more of a brownish colour as compared to the original. I vape other flavours with similar light colours and they don't discolour or have a burnt taste like this.

Apart from the discolouration, I also notice the flavour has a charred/burnt taste as well. A friend also experiences the same thing. Thank you.

your using subtank mini ? To have a burnt taste the problem is prolly with your tank

Anyways guys, this is how I build my subtank mini. Below pics 1 with open and 1 with spaced coils.

Why in the world is your cotton sticking out of the juice holes? The cotton is supposed to be sitting within the boundaries of the juice cap.

Hi guys. The point is that only this flavour has this problem. Experienced by 2 other friends as well. All other juices are ok. I juz threw in a Titanium coil to see how it goes koz the only friend not facing this issue is using Titanium. Will update with the results. :)
Titanium coil on tc mode or??

Every once in a while, I will remove the drip tip, shin a torch light into the atty and see if the coils are dirty. If they are dirty I'll replace both the wire coil and cotton. Ensure the cotton is saturated before screwing on the top cap. Don't just fill the tank with dry atty inside because if you do this, the first few puff may be dry...Ruining the taste of subsequent puffs. Takes awhile for the cotton to seep into the cotton.

Yup. On TC mode. I didnt like the way my ipv3li and ipvd2 tasted on Ti mode. So I juz used Ti but on Nickle mode. Just set the temps to abt 270degF. It gives a vape that feels pretty close to Kanthal. Using Ti mode, I didnt like the way the TC pulses on and off to keep the temps at ur set temp.

Yup. I saturate my wicks 1st. Pic is just to show my build. I saturate the cotton before finishing.

I have the same problem exactly with my strawberry & cream DIY... it's gunk from the coil, back-washing into the tank, which darkens the whole tank. I had to stop using it in a tank at all, and use an RDA for it, so I wasn't wasting so much juice; although it still tasted fine to me after turning brown, my husband told me it stank to high heaven. I figured if it smells that bad, I probably ought not be vaping that.

Usually it's sweetener in the juice that causes it; my strawberry & cream is very sweet, has several cream flavors, and the strawberry itself is an organically-derived flavor (it's Inawera Shisha Strawberry); organic flavors are bad for gunking, because there's stuff in it that won't vaporize cleanly.

U should try out Titanium coils. I got my problem solved with this. :)

I did try titanium, and I thought it sucked; after just one day's use, there was so much gunk that it literally wouldn't vape anymore at all, and since you can't dry burn titanium and it costs twice what kanthal does, I sold the Evic-VT along with the spool of Ti wire. The vape wasn't very good either, much too soft/smooth/weak, just blah. No thanks. For folks vaping below 10w, TC is not necessary.
