Asthma, remember? I have to wait until my lungs come online. :D

ETA: I'm just happy that I can vape about 15 mins after I get up, instead of waiting the half hour or more I had to wait to go smoke! :D

Oops. Yeah, I guess you do have your priorities straight. Breathing does come first! :w00t:

Well it's definitely getting better. Recently I woke in the middle of the night with leg cramps, had to get up and walk a bit to ease them... and managed to have a few vapes while I was at it. :D But I was always used to waiting at least a half hour before I smoked, so waiting that 15 mins or so isn't really a hardship at all -- I get all that other necessary stuff out of the way, then I can sit down with my first cuppa and really enjoy it with my vape while I check in with ECF. :thumb:

Lots of news over in the Innokin forum here at ecf.

Latest is an RBA head for the iSub series of tanks.

For tootle puffers, I got an Apex for the wife because of the reports of good flavor and have it on an MVP 2.0 at 8 watts with a 2 ohm coil. You can turn the air control down to nothing and close the drip tip air slot for a tight draw if you prefer. I then replaced the drip tip with one that has a smaller bore.

Top fill is soooo easy and the coil pulls straight out of the bottom after removing the bottom cap.

That Apex almost makes me wish I could use tanks. But I fear I'd have the same problem with it that I do with Kayfuns, with this gunk monster juice I use, too much wastage when the gunk turns the whole tankful brown -- my husband says it smells really bad when that happens -- that's why I absolutely had to find a good RDA I could love.

I had a love/hate relationship with my Apex. I loved the flavor out of it, but mine leaked. The leaking got worse and worse, so I have basically stopped using it. The flavor was so good though, that I may be tempted to try the newer Apexes. Maybe mine was just defective somehow. I also didn't like that you couldn't see the juice level real well or take it apart to clean it or see what was really going on with it.

Not too late but certainly late. At least at this point all of the iSub series takes the same coil and RBA. No need to start threads of what coils fit what tanks like some other brands.

And the coils are reasonably priced IMO. Yet to see what the RBA is priced at. I do applaud Kanger for including it in the sub tanks. I preordered an Aspire Triton, coils and RBA for $75 and later changed my mind and cancelled.

The Aspire line has gotten outrageouly expensive. How long has the nautilus been out? 2 yrs now? And it sells for avg $25 + coils at $18 for 5. I bought my first nautilus for $15 from MFS right after they came out. It wasn't that long ago that I bought coils for $9. No working rba. And they still sell out. Frustrating. Confusing line of coils too. Is the triton 1.8 coil different from the nauty 1.8, enough to charge more for the triton? I don't care anymore because I feel gouged.

And Kanger? I've lost track of those. I think Sweet Vapes lists almost 7 variations just in the subtank line, not including 2 different rba's or the 14k gold that a 3rd party is making. 14k gold????

There's a lot of room for another company to come in with a decent line of tanks. Non removable metal tips is not the way to do it. Innokin promised the rba for apex on reddit "soon" and > 6 months later is not "soon". They lost my attention and I don't know if that's enough to get it back. There's only a couple of stores that even offer the 2 ohm coil and that's just not available enough for a daily use tank. Innokin needs to work on distribution.

At this stage I'm trying to narrow down the number and brands of coils I keep stock of. It's going to take a multi purpose line that handles a wide variety of situations to grab my attention anymore. Right now Eleaf seems to be delivering, even overcoming hesistations from their istick fiasco.

It woud be nice if Innokin got their act together with a good tank line. Right now it seems specialized since I only have 2 devices capable of firing below 1.3 ohms and that makes Innokin tanks very limited. I'm not planning to add more and those 2 are only because that's the way most devices are made anymore. I didn't expect to vape below 1.3.

IMO, Innokin has left out 85% of vapers who are MTL. They make really good devices, but I'm not sold on tanks yet. Aspire can make great tanks, but devices? Not so good. Too bad they can't collaborate.

Just in case, the Apex tanks do have replaceable drip tips. I don't sub ohm so didn't need the vented drip tip anyway. I put in one with a smaller bore.
So does the Isub G, but the way they are marketed, the plastic isub is the entry with it's low price and bright colors. They'd sell out with a removeable tip. This isn't unusual. Kanger had a hard time understanding why customers wanted a removeable tip too.

MTL tends to fall under the radar with reviewers calling them "beginners". No big deal unless designers take them seriously.

this is well written, pretty much how I feel…

that’s why I decided to go with the eGo One tank system…
they are ‘middle-of-the-road’ (compared to the other mainstream)
I have all of them and think they work well for what I want,
so I plan on getting several and making a long-term commitment to them
and the niffty little CLR coils…

Hi PufZ...you "turned me on to" the Hypertank V2 (T3S coils, 5.0ml)...(which i LOVE)...and now you're "tempting me" with that 4.0ml Mega.

I know "CLR" signifies "Rebuildable".

How "easy" would the CLR be to rebuild for someone who has never rebuilt a coil in their life???

just off the cuff – they are pretty easy

just bigger than a kanger bcc (fairly simple),

then, they are made to be re-built:
•the grommet fits simple
•threaded top cap
•juice flow thread ring

just wrap wire around say a toothpick
slip it and wire legs INTO the coil body
and if ya wanna, screw the cap on to hold it all together...
flip it over, slip in grommet, then center pin
flip it again, tweak coil wire to center

stuff with cotton – Game Over

other than a tank-less RDA, it’s about the easiest - IMO

Thanx for the CLR rebuild overview.

The Tron (T or S) uses the same heads as the eGo One...and (like the Mega eGo One) is 4ml.

Any advantages/disadvantages of the eGo One over the Tron???

(To me...the juice level looks like it would be much easier to monitor in the Tron-S...but I may be missing something else.)
