I already gave away my apex tank I got with my coolfire plus, it was a good vape and no leaking, but trying to see juice level does suck though, if they did a RBA head, I might of stuck with it longer, but I won't be tied down to buying premade coils.

I will vouch the ego one tanks with the clr heads are very good, very easy to build and rewick, also they are a very good price for a rebuildable head, paid about $12 for 5 of them.

One pack (5) of the Isub coils will last a very very long time. Super easy to rewick. And 5 coils cost lest than $10.00

Maybe so, but I want to choose what coil I want to use, and I can get a roll of wire that will make 100's of coils for $10 ;)

that’s why I decided to go with the eGo One tank system…

Looking around...it appears the eGo One (and maybe the TRON) can use either 0.5Ω or 1.0Ω CL or CLR heads.

As a confirmed Tootle Puffer...if I use the 1.0Ω heads...and crank the AFC way down...will I end up with a satisfactory MTL experience???

    yepper---

in fact, I have evolved into using the bigger (.5) center pin
    and building 1.3-1.6 Ω coils...

the small (1.0) air hole seems TOO restrictive now (who'd-a-thunk-it) for me

    ;)

Sometimes it seems like we talk more about non Innokin stuff in here than Innokin. But it's like Cheers, everybody knows your name and you can get away to ask questions without getting brow beat from the lovers and haters.

Is there more info on the rba, diagram, review?

not sure as I have not got a TRON - YET

    hidden air flow
    silicone color ring (ID)
    top view or V window
    color match plastic drip tip

Two Tron Tanks – One Mistake

    Joyetech TRON-S 4ml Tank

The Joyetech TRON-S is a surely one great looking tank that is best paired up with the matching eVic-VTC Mini. The Tron-S has a
    evic_vtc_mini_with_tron_12-300x158.png
unique, triangular shaped glass window where you can see how much e-Liquid you have left. The Tron-S also has a “hidden” airflow control design which is both elegant and subtle. It is also highly effective, more so than I expected. The Tron-S features has silicone ring that comes in several colors which can be used to personalize the tank beyond just the base color.

There is also a Tron-T tank that features a top down circular window at the top of the tank, with no window on the sides. I don’t know whose idea it was to design a tank like this, but it is impossible to see the eliquid level looking down into the tank. I received one of each tank, and quickly discarded the Tron-T in favor of the Tron-S. I asked several other vapers if they could detect the eliquid level looking down through the Tron-T top window and no one could. I just don’t understand the reason for this tank.

    ni200-ti-coils-300x288.png
The Tron-S and Tron-T are compatible with eGo One Atomizer Coil Heads such as the CL, CLR, CL-Ni (Nickel), and the CL-Ti (Titanium).

The Tron tanks fill from the bottom; simply unscrew the base and fill the tank while avoiding the airflow tube in the center. Screw the base back on, attach to the eVic-VTC and vape away. Remember, as always, drop a little juice into the fresh coil to saturate the coil and cotton.

    Tron-S Tank Specs:
    • 510 Threaded
    • 4ml Capacity Tank
    • Unique “hidden” airflow control valve
    • Glass Window Design
    • Drip Tip Included
    • Compatible with Ego One Atomizer Heads
    • Dimensions: 2-1/4″L x 7/8″D
The Tron-S tank works every bit as well as the eGo Mega Tank that comes with earlier eVic-VTC’s, but provides a better solution for keeping an eye on the eliquid level, and a better drip tip. The improvements of the Tron-S over the eGo ONE Mega tank seem to be aesthetics more than anything else, since the same coil heads are shared among the eVic-VTC’s and eGo ONE devices. That said, I certainly like the Tron-S on the eVic-VTC better than the eGo One Mega tank.

The 1.0-ohm (Kanthal) is preinstalled in the tank. Usually the 1-ohm is used for mouth to lung vaping, and it is here as well. However, with the airflow of the Tron-S set to its widest opening I was able to get to a tight lung hit, which I found worked fairly well, but I prefer a lower resistance coil and lung hit vaping, so it didn’t take much to switch out the preinstalled coil head and vape with the Nickel and Titanium coil heads.

When the eVic-VTC Mini was introduced with the eGo ONE Mega tank it just didn’t sit well with me. It wasn’t the performance, it just felt forced, as though Joyetech knew they had to offer a starter kit that included a tank, so they decided to use the eGo ONE Mega. Now, with the Tron tanks, the eVic-VTC Mini feels complete.

    that’s funny, I just figured one would hold it sideways;

    and look at the level in the window… (½ , ¼ , ⅔ , ¾ etc…)

(Although says "Cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts"...it worked for the Cool Fire IV...which is already on Sale.)

Code 17MFSDEC for MFS until 12/22 (Tues.) MN for 17% OFF.

Final cost for the CFIV is $20.71 (with USPS First Class being +$3.07)

[iStick TC40W would also end up $20.71...if interested...]

The cheap price and the fact that they fit every tank they make is why I love the iSub coils and tanks. The iSub coils were actually cheaper than the Aspire coils that I was buying. The price for the iSub and the iSub G tanks were lower priced than most other sub-ohm tanks. The flavor, airflow, and vapor production were all superior to my Aspire tanks I have and tried too. But that's just my preference. Ten others might say the flavor from an Aspire tank is better.

I've thrown one iSub coil away so far, I soak them for a few days in Golden Grain 190 proof alcohol now ($20 in a Kentucky liquor store) then let them dry for a few days wrapped in a paper towel. I use just enough to cover the coil in the bottom of a shot glass, maybe a 5th or an 8th of a shot.

I get 2 to 3 weeks out of a iSub coil (.5 ohm) before it needs to be cleaned. I vape at 12w to 13w with the airflow wide open so my coils don't get badly cooked along with juices that aren't very dark so that probably has something to do with the relative ease that they clean up along with how long they last.

If they come out with a rebuildable coil then I might try it. But right now I can make the coils last for months and months. The coil I tossed started being used in June 2015, I finally threw it away last week. It has been rotating with a second coil since June so about 3 months of total use. With a $2 a piece price, that averages out to .66c a month. Maybe .10c in alcohol. And it takes a few seconds to pour the alcohol so I can't really count that. So around .76c a month, that's pretty cheap.

Anyone know how much they're spending for supplies and time per coil by going the rebuildable route?

just off the cuff – they are pretty easy

just bigger than a kanger bcc (fairly simple),

then, they are made to be re-built:
    •the grommet fits simple
    •threaded top cap
    •juice flow thread ring

just wrap wire around say a toothpick
slip it and wire legs INTO the coil body
and if ya wanna, screw the cap on to hold it all together...
flip it over, slip in grommet, then center pin
flip it again, tweak coil wire to center

stuff with cotton – Game Over

other than a tank-less RDA, it’s about the easiest - IMO

Since I've only begun actually considering REBUILDING A COIL  for the past few days...I continue to be a little cornfused with the CLR's.

If I were to buy a Kayfun...I'd need to buy only one (plus some wire and wicking).

But the CLR's come in packs of five. Does each one come with a pre-built coil...(or wire...or wicking)...or something...that wears out leading to replacement with a new CLR???

    Yes.

They look like regular coils but pcs come apart that make it easier to replace wick and wire when it's time to do that. The main difference is the Kayfun has a deck that gives you more room to work in and you can use bigger coils.
