Little itty bitty mods under $100.

Has this been asked before? I don't need more than 15 watts and don't need temp control -- my atty's wick well and tell me when they're low/out of juice (ok, the supposed kanthal "taste control" thing the ijoy's and maybe the j-well onyx claim to have is a little tempting). So with small TC 75 watts with replaceable 18650 battery out there for forty bucks, shouldn't I be awash in $25 options in the itty bitty low power no TC range? Where/which are they? For now the cloupor mini plus is in the lead (smallest, my #1 feature) for the vapocalypse drawer, but surely there's a cheaper option for no TC and no need for 40+watts?

I just got a smok Xpro M22 here http://www.vapingmall.com/xpro-m22-mod for $19.99 and a few bucks for postage. I'm liking mine. I vape very low watts (usually 7 to 8 max) and am not interested in TC either. It's not Innokin or anything, but it vapes nicely, and the battery holds up good. Looks nice, too (I got the gold one)...has a ridged side that helps with the grip a bit. Nice and light and small. Nice screen, too! People have complained about a "rattle-y" fire button...but mine is not. And they give you a spare rubberized button you can put on, if you want. I haven't yet. No issues with my button as it is.

In addition to the other good recommendations, I would add the Mini Jedi 50 watt for $25 + $5 shipping at VapeNW free shipping if you buy any bottle of juice. It does require an 18650 battery but it has built in charging. The 510 center pin is not spring loaded but it has SS threads.

Well gmoney...my suggestion (apparently) is a little "late"...but...I have multiple itty-bitty Mods around my home...

However...whenever I head out into the world I take one (or two) of the VV V3 with me...

I'm really sorry to be a downer type, and I really do hope these work out absolutely great for you, but I wouldn't consider anything with a non-replaceable internal battery to be FDA-proofing. (Though I don't seem to be as FDA-fearfull as many folks are.)

I don't own one. I do recall the early ones people complained about stripping threads. Don't know it that was user error or bad choice of materials. Don't know if it was changed but the complaints seem to have stopped.

I made an offer on one that was for sale in the Classifieds. The seller didn't accept my offer.

Then I did some research and didn't like some of what I found. They seem to have the soft threads problem that the iStick 20w has. Some other things came up too, like button failures. I lost interest after that.

A lot of mods have soft threads. I don't remember major issues with this and did a quick sweep but didn't see anything unusual. One thing I liked about was that it had step down, which is why I noticed it. I thought it used the same chip as the ipv 3Ow.

You're not being a downer (to me) at all, Turts. I do believe that all my internal batt lil bitties have a pretty short shelf life. I'm going to enjoy them, but when I think longevity, I don't consider any of them. Sadly but truly.

Well I'll let y'all know what I think before tossing them in the vault. I never did have thread problems w the isticks, just the whole connection assembly collapsing. Also, unless I've lost my mind, the Sig30 is 18650 replaceable. Wish it was smaller though, my 2 faves are cloupor minI and VS dna30....

Welp, yes and no. I love those for O&A (great lil back ups) but I would recommend a Provari. For me (for now) I really want to feel more secure in the longevity of the things I buy. My experience with the cheaper Chinese devices is that they really will have a much shorter life span.

So, I say, enjoy them! Enjoy them as long as they last! For my map of future vaping, no matter what happens, (and I think we all feel pretty united on what we think is going to soon happen) I want my tried and true, my dependable and never failing Provis.

Now that they are well under $100., I have no qualms recommending them in here.

No bells and whistles (mine are VV and no TC, of course), but just good and solid and reliable vape perfection.

Thanks for the advice. You got a sweetheart deal on yours. Should have jumped then, but I was still trying to figure out which battery to buy and time ran out. Best price I've seen lately on the Mini full kit is about $50, with the Tron models about $10 more. No real rush, though; my iSticks are still ok. I'll go with the .5 Ohm CLRs when the time comes.

Don't rush. I think that there are (or soon will be) better choices out there. Of course, it depends on what kind of vaping you're interested in. For me, a low-wattage, MTL, no TC person, the Evic kit is not an ideal setup. Besides, now, that I've used the mod for a few days, I'm discovering things about it that I don't like. The mod is angular and heavy(ish) and not very ergonomically designed, the 510 well seems to be rather soft and shallower compared to my other mods; and the tank's pin is shorter, respectively, causing all kinds of compatibility/connectivity problems with other devices.

In the spirit of full disclosure, I didn't pay a penny for my kit--I won it and I'm thrilled that I did. I was curious about it but too cheap to buy it. So I'm not complaining, I'm very happy I got a chance to try it and very grateful to ECF and Joyetech for the contest.

Not sure, but (at least the box) it seems to be a fixed wattage device at 14 watts. Too much for me and many.

The Endura is fixed at 14 watts because you are supposed to use the 1.2 ohm coil/tank that comes with it. We have 2 Coolfire I that are fixed at 8.5 watts designed to use with a 2 ohm coil and they work well that way.
