Nobody knows how much wattage a smoker who wants to quit might need, not even the said smoker. Many of us quit happily puffing on our Boge cartos at 4.5 watts; others need a sub-ohm device to finally cross to the other side.
If I were a new vaper, I wouldn't want a device that gives me no choice whatsoever. Somebody had a really bad idea. 14 watts only? Why? I've been vaping for years and very rarely go up to 14 watts--usually only when I try new atties. My happy place is still somewhere between 6.5-12 volts, depending on the atomizer and juice I'm using. And I always tweak my wattage, anyway, even with the same atty; sometimes I need a bit more oomph, so I up my wattage, other times I dial it down when I just want to chain vape peacefully.
