this thing is pretty small compared to everything else i have
way smaller then my ipv Mini
noticed a couple little flaws, the paint/coating is chipping on the battery door. on the parts that line the door up (rails?) they are little sharp corners so its an easy place for that to happen

Whaaaa? No, no no! Please no.

Lol, super stoked!

Ha-ha. That was posted 3 pages ago. I think 30 posts were made in this thread within a 2 minute time frame. Silly me, I know.

That Ego Mega and subox combo is killer. I noticed the black bell caps for the subtank mini sold out almost overnight at FT. I'd love to see a black bell cap on either the white or black Subox. I'm guilty of wondering how difficult it would be to switch out the red buttons for black for a super stealth all black version. But then I liked the idea of a red and white one too. :hubba:

Has anyone tried the new rba base in the old subtank mini yet???

Picking my wifes up tomorrow. My vape budget for the year was revoked until she saw this beauty. She loves her egrip/rba but, after hanging out at the local bar with us she finds herself wanting moar vape. So I was allowed to purchase one more toy if I bought her this.

Yay!

Im not complaining. I spend an unnecessary amount of money on vaping and shes right to restrict me. This was supposed to be a more cost effective habit than smoking (not to mention the health benefits). I try explaining how much we're saving without the associated costs of cancer treatment buuuut that doesn't really help too much, lol.

Anyway, Im damned impressed with everything I've read about the Subbox and I'm sure she'll love it. Im excited to pick it up for her.

I haven't had any chipping on that area but have a tiny chip at the top right above where the battery cover closes above the B where it says kbox mini. I'm hard at my mods though. I'm sure in two weeks mine will look like most at 6 months.

My wife still smokes, it is getting hard to convince her vaping saves money.

you can't see it unless you take the door off so its not terrible, but its there and its going to happen to a lot of them. its just the nature of these kinds of coatings and sharp edges.
i may have forced the chip, cause i was messing with the door to see if it was loose or not. gotta stop watching reviews, makes me wanna see if i can mirror results LOL

yeah i can be hard on some of them too.... my Vamo that i carried every day is just covered in micro scratches, it would probably have no finish left if i was still carrying it everyday. i use my IPV mini so much that the finish is almost completely gone where my hand contacts it

That still isn't setting ok with me. Everything I own must be able to survive the dreaded purse, which includes being taken in and out constantly as well as bumping into other stuff. Any finish should withstand at least 24 hours without a mark or trauma (like being dropped). Black may not be a huge issue (for you guys) but for white? Yea, it's big. I'm going to do some manufacturers warrenty research. It might not be so big if covered and can get a replacement in 3 months.

and that's understandable, i don't know if its something i did, or if it came like that. i just noticed it after i had messed with it a bit

From reading some post critiques, I presume there must be some manufacturing inconsistencies going on. Mine has a paint swirl/blemish on top. It's mostly covered by the tank, which I can live with. But conversely, the batt door is tight as a drum. With black, I'll just cover with a sharpie accordingly.

im really not all that worried about it, i can't see it until i take the door off. but i figured i would share any any all pros and cons to this. i want to share so people know what's they might be getting.

so yeah some minor finish issues its really gonna stop be from liking this device, but my door isn't super tight, its got a little play to it. but its with in what i think is manufacturer's tolerances

A little wear and tear just makes it look loved. I looked for warranty info for you in the box, no luck.
