I recently wrote a paper for a psychology class on a study done on the benefits of nicotine in Alzheimer's patients. The study showed no change or slight improvement in most areas and significant improvement in processing speed. The results were similar for both the Alzheimer's patients and both the middle-aged and the aged(62+ y.o.) control groups.

Some researchers will find what they want and ignore what does not help their goal. It's hard to know what tbelieveve.
