Funny. I goog'd Niacin (nicotonic acid,nicotine,B3) and cholesterol and it says it's in animals, not plants??
"Niacin, also known as “nicotinic acid,” is found in red meat, chicken, turkey, beans, and grains. It is a required nutrient and a member of the B vitamin family."
http://www.lifeextension.com/magazine/2007/3/atd/Page-01

Have seen it stated that if tobacco did not exist and nicotine was only know from its other sources, it would have a number and be one of the B vitamins.

Would love to see a list of the LD50 of all the B vitamins compared to the modern correct LD50 of nicotine. Tried searching awhile back but kept running into articles behind pay-walls.

At sub $50/barrel, most domestic oil drilling has come to a crawl. Gas is lower because mid East oil producers have been keeping the prices artificially low to put an end to domestic drilling, as it isn't so profitable at $46/barrel...

Good! Whoever runs out last wins:)

Synthetic nicotine certainly does exist, and is already being marketed for vaping. The oil comparison doesn't work as nicotine is so cheap that even if it were 20x as expensive it could still be absorbed comfortably in the margins.

Synthetic nicotine may or may not be regulated as a drug, or it may fall under supplements laws - likely this depends on the marketing. The FDA has made it very clear that they are going to treat "indirect" medical claims as being evidence of "intended medical use" - so this will all play out in court.

TLDR: SynNic is here; it's not covered by Deeming; it's going to create an interesting dynamic.

It may be cheaper at this point. 100ML is $258.50, but is most likely in a strength that's not permitted to be discussed. So, cutting it down to 100mg strength for let's say 1000ml of nicotine base, you're looking at a nicotine cost of just under 26 bucks.

That's far cheaper than what's currently being sold to vapers today. I was always under the impression that synthetic nicotine was outrageously expensive. Apparently this is no longer the case and may indeed be a viable solution to get around the FDAs shenanigans.

Should synthetic nic become viable I think government forces will simply tell the FDA to alter their shenanigans to meet the new threat.

It's not about right or wrong, or about helping people. It's about maintaining the cash flow that TC provides.

Unfortunately I think you are right. It all comes down to cash in the end. They will find a way to tax nic even if it is synthetic and nothing to do with tobacco. All that will happen is they will change the criteria so that they can continue to tax us at high levels. As we have a national health system and government funded pensions in the UK they are not that keen on us living longer either. Pretty much all you can do is keep stocking up on nic, and hope it keeps long term!

It really isn't that much money...

Don't know the cost of smoking where you are and the governments cut

But here it's huge

Average loss to the government by a smoker quitting and vaping is around £5gbp per day

x that by the amount of vapers and that's much money to me and them

That's nothing compared to what governments spend and waste...

I am on side of truth.
I would not fight on lying side.
Similar to the politics in practically every other country , American politics is based on lies! Even the constituents of the two political partys : "Arrogant party" and "Ignorant party" cannot have an honest discussion!

ONE of the 69 chemicals in tobacco products that are believed to cause cancer, is also in ejuice. I don't see any other products containing one or more of the other 68 chemicals being heavily taxed!
Pretty obvious that the government/ capitalist's are chasing after the addict, and have no concerns with public health as long as its profitable.
If it wasn’t so profitable, and public health was actually a concern nicotine would have been outlawed long ago, right along with all the other old pesticides!

There is nothing in ejuice that "causes cancer." Certainly not nicotine, since it is not carcinogenic.
