Keeping with my trend of posting my findings of the Erl - I noticed dramatic the difference in throat hit and flavor relative to coil height. (I say this as a good thing).

I already knew that a higher coil gives more TH but less flavor and lower gives smoother (less TH) but more flavor, but with this atty I can really dial it in by controlling the height. I can vary with different juices or depending on my feeling that day. Pretty cool.

Also - I just successfully got to my build without draining the tank. Formerly I'd just loosen the top and then dump into a wider mouth bottle, but last time I left the chimney just barely snug on purpose and it worked just like I read in this thread.

I love my Erlkq, I love my 2 rDNA40 sharks, I love TP.............. I've built at least 2 dozen ni200 coils on her and find it far less flavorful than a kanthal build! I've gone single, twisted with a variety of ga and wicking. If it has been suggested, I've tried it!

I'm more than happy with my kanthal builds on it, so I've got that going for me..........

The Erlk high voltage biuld:
With my usual 15 Watts on a regulated mod I get about 6 Volts.
Due to the larger coil and therefore surface, and the slower ramp-up time of the coil, you'll really get maximum flavor! Another advantage is, that the coil doesn't get that hot with normal vaping behaviour, possibly making temperature control nonessential?

Ok - I'm hypnotized by the photos. Must....stop....looking.....ha!
And the build is perfection.
While I haven't gone above 2.1ohms, I subscribe to your notion of more wraps, more surface area, better flavor.
And a cooler vape as well - you're at a heat flux of like 130.
The opposite of those running 5 wraps at a heat flux of like 250.
Only thing is the (slow) ramp-down of the coil, gunks it up faster.
I let go of the fire button 1 second before completing draw to compensate for this.

Almost hate to post this after Cloud Hunters' pics...

Similar in regards to the recent pics on the Kayfun thread:
Rewick time.
Here's what the old one looks like after 20ml.

28g, 2.4mm, 9 wraps, 1.6 ohms, JOC
Lighter DIY juice 60/40 pg/vg, 12mg, 9-10 watts.
Wick looks pretty good for 20ml.
Coil needs a dry burn though.
This is about my normal ml for my rewicking/cleaning.

PM sent, yes 21 mm V2 and I changed my pre order to a 23 mm v2. The wae doesn't deserve an over hang, so it's erlp, tilemahos 21, or the upcoming gem only bud.

Sry to take this off track Erlkonigians, I just have envy and loiter here.

Yes, I used a 29 gauge Kanthal-A and Muji cotton for that build. The camera lens is the Sigma AF 105mm 2.8 EX DG Macro, which for a macro isn't that expensive actually...but it's sharp like a razorblade .
