Guess I'll be 6. I usually do mine on a 2.5 mm coil jig with 8 wraps, and haven't tried anything else since I started making coils. I'll have to see how it works using a 3mm jig instead.

Because an even 3mm seems to be just over the threshold of too large, I found a 7/64" drill bit gets me 2.779mm which is close enough to call it 2.8mm.
This seemed to be the perfect coil size for the KF4, because the more airflow, the larger the coil you want.
Being that the KF4 has more than double the airflow of a KFL, it seems to work better with a slightly larger coil.
Then, I got lazy and curious, and used the 2.8mm coil in my KFLs...works great there too.
Then again, it's pretty ding-dang hard to mess up a KFL build! Easily the most forgiving build deck on the market...past, present, or future!

Just tried using a coil made on my 3mm coiling jig, and definately notice a difference. For starters had to go up to 12 watts instead of my usual 8. Much better vapor production, though the flavor is still about the same.
I've only ever used 2.5 in my KF4... I'll have to try it with a 3! Thanks!

I have used the above setup ever since and the flavor is phenomenal. Give it a try guys!

p/s: Forgot to mention that the inner diameter for the coil is 2.5mm

Just gonna leave this here, seeing as so many people on other threads have liked it.
Thought I'd help my ECF compatriots organize their gear!
$25 at Target. Looks like the same price online.
Comes in a white option too.
They also have a clear acrylic thing that is very similar.

I love this thing!
So many mod stands out there use these weird rounded pieces and they look like old dining room furniture. I like the clean, square lines of this one.
The drawer fits all my build gear perfectly!

Clear acrylic version, if someone should be partial to that look:

Good to see some GEMs mixed in with the Kayfuns, the GEM is such an excellent RTA!
Well thank you!

I LOVE my GEMs!
I finally just picked up a very gently used WAE-II to put them on.

What a nice combo! The seamless craftsmanship of these devices is incredible!
I know the seams are there, but my eyes can't see them!

The CALIX from ByLeo is right up there.
I highly recommend it.

Alongside the KF4, I'd say they're my best high end devices.
The KFLs are amazing as always, but more of a workhorse device in my mind.
Kabuki and Joyetech AIO are for when I'm feeling lazy.

I actually posted this pic in our German forum and got my .... kicked...

The one titled as Mini V1 is actually the Mini V2. The Mini V1 has an aluminium tank (or in a second edition with carbon optics)
This means I have to start the hunt to get my collection complete.. Kayfun V1 and Kayfun Mini V1 are missing!!

It took me 3 months... but now I have my Minis complete :)
