I bought the Prometey and a Origen 2 last night.

The Prometey will get modded

What are you doing to the Prometey?

Anyone who wants to make the leap to rebuildables right now should consider getting one. Its the easiest tank in the world, and just never leaks, even on planes. The Nectar is a close second, but will leak if you lay it down.

Thats a secret ;)

Excellent deal for $5, I paid $9 for mine a year ago...

The top cap will need a little rounding on the edge of the air holes. Top cap on the right with the air hole chamfered, do the outside for whistle and inside if it cuts the upper large o-ring on the chamber.

I'll put it on my flow bench :D

I so should have done like any research on this thing before I impulse bought it. I saw the design and thought it worked more like the Achilles. Fluff filler? Top wicking? I am glad it was cheap.
You can wick it normally, too, & probably leave out the fluff when you want do. It looks like the Achilles, but with a flat deck, no juice wells d d that bell chimney to focus the vapor d spread juice out when you drip. I think.

So it would seem but I think if you put a whole Ml in there and tilted it, it would tend leak down the air hole. My Achilles does if I fill it that high and don't keep it upright. And, the biggest selling point to me was the ability to hold a lot of juice. As a dripper, it is a pointlessly large atty. I have a ton of regular drippers and many of them will hold close to a ML. I wont bin it but it really doesn't fill a need for me and I will probably PIF it after I fool with it for a bit. There is no way I'm setting it up for down dripping with the foam insert.
For the mildly curious; 12 minutes long and in Ukrainian, but the wicking details are just a minute or so in (it's a complex loop-de-loop thing). Set it playing, pour a cup of coffee then come back:

I don't think you could drip through the top very well. Phil tries it with a similar setup, the GP Spheroid.
(I so much want a Spheroid but there are no $10 ones...)

Dripping queued at 9:15

Dripping isn't how the Prometey makes a living, you're right. But it does have the capability in a pinch. It's ok for taste testing.
I wanted an Achilles for taste testing, because it screws together. I can't use most drippers because I can't pull them apart. My hands are messed up d I can't get a grip to pull. I'm not a dripper. I think I.ll just take the chimney off a Kayyfun Nano & leave the chimny base on d do it that way.

I screw them into a threaded stand to pull off my press fitted parts. My hands are messed up, too.

I've never watched a video on the Prometey, Spheroid or Heron. Or for most everything :D I can show you how I set them up, but I'm not a professional reviewer. Just a vaper who does my own thing.
The Roxynoodle channel would be epic!!

In my imagination your birds would steal the show. Mayhem ensues and you don't actually get to finish a review or build.

A whole channel of half finished reviews and bird mayhem would be hysterical.
