I have a white delrin mod and I can say that it withstands dirt quite well. I don't even need a damp cloth, except the one time it went with me on a cannon cleaning spree.

I concur with peng on this (not that I've ever gone on a cannon cleaning spree, as interesting as that sounds).

Plenty of dirty, greasy environments with a couple of white del mods - no issues that a quick wipe didn't take care of. I do find that del will get nicks in it, tho. At least, that's given how I roll (your attentiveness may be better). Really looking forward to a BAM ultem to address that.

yeah that's more of my issue with delrin other than actually worrying about the white getting dirty... delrin is pretty soft, will nick scratch and even gouge easily, hell I can even dig my fingernail into it if I really try. I'm playing with delrin but it's really like no comparison to ultem, I guess it's more comparable to a wood, and really even a softer wood even at that...

wow man good for you for quiting. I have some mixed feelings about the amber or yellow as you call it. as a salesman here now I like it primarily because so many other people like it :p

Thanks man... I'm glad so many like it because thats good for you. I hope you sell thousands of them!! It is as Rudy pointed out, very much a YMMV item...

delrin has similar properties in some ways to teflon, meaning nothing really sticks to it including anything that would make it look dirty so getting dirty shouldn't really be so much of an issue I think

adam I haven't really been doing any pictures for you yet cause truth is these woods just don't look like much until they start getting close to the finishing stages but here is a peek :)

they don't look like much yet but these things are going to be drop dead gorgeous man, really nice blocks here...

the woods have been seriously delayed because I had so many changes going on with the ultems and then afterwards I had to recalibrate everything to go back to the wood again but the benefit is now these woods will have all of the updates and refinements that the ultems got too :) I have 3 other woods going through with yours here, one is for another guy here and 2 are just extras that I threw into the batch just to make them just worth doing... one of those 2 might just be right up kelts alley and the other is another really nice looking stab wood that will look really sweet with a copper faceplate but I'll show more as they get caught up with the others...

Looking good John. Thanks for the sneak peek pics [emoji39] [emoji7] I know they will look amazing after you finish your magic, but I can definitely see the colors, and the shape now, and I can't wait....they're gonna be awesome! thinking those faceplates are gonna look beautiful too.

I like the fact that you took this long with them and they're getting all the adjustments and refinements that the ultems got, that's a good thing for sure. Getting really excited man.

Sitting, waiting patiently for more porn [emoji41]

yeah rudy I keep fine tuning my door methods and I got it pretty nailed down at this point now :)

havok that is a Quasar atty, one of my favorite dual coil 22mm atties of all time. never offered as a BF but just a drill bit away from that really I guess :) it was a joint venture between cosmic innovations and vicious ant and in my opinion one of the most under appreciated atties of all time. they were kind of expensive at over $100 but man they just vape amazing. tiny chamber combined with good airflow and a really domed upper cap make them vape better than most imho, plus they look really nice too if you ask me :) been out of production for a long time now, they were succeeded with their Astron atty which was about the same as this really, and that one also just never made it onto most peoples radar either, but it was just as fantastic, again in my opinion at least :)

they are standard old school 3 post dual coil decks, they don't have huge wire holes for the modern funky designer coils but fit just about any normal single strand wire easily. the deck itself was made by vicious ant and they we unique in that the deck is pretty tall making for a much reduced chamber size and they also had no o rings on the deck itself, the double orings for the deck seal are in the cap. I really liked the fact that they were also really tight fitting everywhere so it really stays put and even the afc was super tight so they held there adjustment very well, maybe they were too tight for some people I guess but personally I love them, got a bunch of them I liked them so much :) between the Quasar and the Astrons they were offered in SS, copper, brass and the black which is blacked out metal, not plastic.... killer atty if you could ever find one then get catfish to drill it...

I'm excited to see the progress. I'm also very thankful for the recalibration and refinements! Holding off on a totally different expense to be sure I'm ready when you are :)

Hey turbocad6 - are you still open for another possible Ultem mod order? I saw your mod on super_x_drifter's instagram and youtube and got curious into knowing more about the mod.

EDIT: Did some research looking through the thread. Saw there's like 3 spots open for Ultem interest, but I'm really just looking for an Amber Ultem DNA75 squonk mod that takes 18650s. Let me know if that's possible.

I'm already working on the current batch of mods right now and yes it's too late to get in to this batch, but I will be starting another batch after this one in a few weeks or so give or take. that list you mention is just a list of people who want to be reminded when the next batch comes up. if you want I can add you to it and then send you a reminder before the next batch opens up for orders...

    Big Batch #2 Progress Shots:

Ok as you can see I've been pretty busy :) after the initial heat treat annealing that happened last weekend, this week I have machined all of the blocks to exact size, all of the main battery/bottle pockets and chip pockets have been final machined and all of the interiors have been sanded and media blasted. next up is finish machining the doors and door tracks, then I'll move on to the chip covers...

I've been fine tuning and tweaking some of my methods and procedures in this batch, I'm now machining each block to exact final size to eliminate some of the variables and inconsistencies for more precision and consistency mod to mod, instead of just relying on them being all just cut to size, I'm also increasing the precision of the way I locate the chip cover mounting screws on each mod now. these little changes will all just go towards trying to make them more and more perfect and uniform to each other and eliminate some minor flaws that have popped up in a few in the past due to minor inconsistencies...

I also already mentioned that I'm revising the way I do the battery terminals and some of the wiring in this batch for a cleaner, neater looking interior. I'll show that as I get up to that stage here, but the interiors will now look just a little bit nicer and cleaner in this batch too. I'm constantly striving to make little improvements wherever I can and will probably always do so to a certain extent, to me no matter how nice something is there is always room for improvement, so I will always strive to tweak and tune and improve things no matter how minor they are, some things may be noticeable and some things may be so small that most wouldn't even notice the difference, but I notice, and removing any flaws that I can will only help make this mod better and better, which is always a good thing I think :)
