yeah, micro mesh, that's what I meant to say when I said micro fine paper :p

may want to do the faceplate to match if going that route... try not to round over the edges while doing this though, keep the edges crisp to maintain the flush fitting parts

    This micro mesh kit

Is what I used to go from this

    To this

With acrylic. I would assume the same results with ultem but maybe a little more effort since it is harder than lexan.

all of my time and effort has been going into making the switch over from the BAM V1 to the BAMbino and getting the current batch caught up and shipped out, after this I will work on building a mech prototype for testing... I have a lot of ideas just need to actually machine some of them up and see what comes to be

yeah I guess both of those things make sense. I was originally considering a 18650 at first because the 20700 did not impress me so much when I built a prototype BAM with one, but I think that was mostly because it was a DNA75 mod that can only use up to 23 amps max so not nearly as much benefit really, but on a mech that could potentially run an even more powerful build of 100 watts or more I guess I could see that being much more of an advantage. only thing there winds up being a trade off of size VS power and I was looking to try and keep it as small as practical

here is the latest batch of mods that has just shipped :)

to me the 21700 in the mech is more about mah then amps. the Samsung 30t 21700 are 35 amp tested by mooch at 3000 mah. our 30 amp sony vtc 4's and we have been trusting for years are rated at 2100 mah by mooch. the vtc 5's are a little higher mah but only 20 amps. there are other cells these days which we don't really need to get into all that. I guess its a win win realy higher mah and higher amps in the 21700 30T cells. what ever you do I am excited to c the out come.

yeah BUT don't forget with the DNA75 and 75C chips we do NOT need that kind of amp draw and there are several 18650's that are rated at 3,000MAH that are just fine in the DNA regulated mod at 20 amps, so when I compare the 3,000 MAH 18650 to the 3,000 MAH hour 21700 all I see is increased size with no real benefit at all, I compared the prototype 20700 mod I built with a 3,500 MAH 20700 to a 3,000 mah 18650 and the difference in use time was pretty small, not worth it for the size increase which is why I never went into production with the 20700 version BAM. that is why I say that it is more of an advantage in a mech, where you have more potential of seeing any kind of real benefit

I hear you my friend. I guess the diffence for a mech mod is that 18650's you either get high amp or high mah never both in one cell. so to have a 21700 with 35 amp and 3000 mah is the best of both worlds. as your pointing out high amp doesn't mean much in a regulated in your test. but makes a huge difference for a mech.
