I've had to tighten mine up a time or two. I take a hemostat with a bit of folded up paper towel in the jaws and gently grab the post with it, then screw it in till the holes are lined up like I want 'em. Gently grabbing is key, you don't want to crush the tube. -

Hey Cap, have you considered booking a hot air balloon ride? I tried one a few years ago and it was magically serene. Spent about an hour in the sky, and they had champagne and brownies when we touched down. -
