Hello everyone...my name is T.J., and I'm a vaper.:p

I've been vaping since January and it is just going fantastic. After trying just about every trick in the book to quit smoking, I dropped the habit immediately after picking up an Apollo disposable (freebie). From there, a starter kit with eGo 650mah, then a couple of 1000 Twists, and then only yesterday, my Evic arrived...LOVE IT and LOVE vaping. I had reached the point where I couldn't imagine myself as a non-smoker, but the feeling is very liberating.

I live in Northwest Mesa with my wife and 3 1/2 year old son who is happy for his Daddy because he doesn't smoke anymore!:2cool: I work in Central Phoenix (very close to .... Out, which is nice) and Synergy Vapor Labs is basically on my way home, so it's nice to have a couple of B&M locations nearby. I've also had some exchanges via FB with Craig from Kidney Puncher and he's a great guy to deal with.

Happy to be a part of the VIP group and hope to make it to the next meet. I do enjoy craft beers (IPA's are my weakness...which I embrace with bear-hugs) and Sun Up has some pretty solid brews, so it's a win-win.

hey everyone, I'm new to vaping and also ECF. just quit smoking analogs a week ago Saturday, and its been great, my wife loves it too. i was a smoker about a 1/2 to a pack a day at some points for about 12 or so years this is the longest i have gone with out a cig. and have no real desire for one this tastes way too good to go back. ;) any who started like most did with a cheap blu from the 7-11 when i ran out that night i happened to have laying around made it through that night and the next day tell afternoon then went to buy me a kit. got a cheap ego nock off kit from some random smoke shop around the corner. if it wasn't for that i would have probably never quit analogs. up graded my clearomizer to a iclear 30 i bought at .... Out, thanks to the recommendations from on here only prob i have now is my battery i think it is too weak and small for those hefty dual coils. if anyone actually has any suggestions on where i can get a very very cheap yet still good vv battery(nothing fancy just something like a twist) that would be awesome as i don't have allot of money to spend on mods and what not the tank and juice set me back quite a bit as it is. I'm not looking to get all crazy with this whole vaping thing and constantly try finding new mods and tanks and all that jazz, just want a good battery to go with this tank then i can focus on just buying juice and staying healthy. I am finding that I am way more knowledgeable from watching lots of youtube like "grimmgreen, pbasardo" and what not but don't have the need or money for all that stuff just fun to watch and learn more about this whole stuff. anywho I'm rambling im glad to have found this site and so far you guys have been pretty helpful.

be chatting real soon I'm sure

Benny

thanks Dave, the most difficult part is all the variables with analogs you have only two no source of lighting or just plain out with this you have dead batteries out of juice tank issues lots of things that can happen especially when you are just starting out on a very low budget. currently i am taking my battery off the charge every so often just to have a few toots then plugging it right back juice i am fine on but my iclear 30 is now having issues filled it for like the third time total tonight and hand no problems other than the battery is not powerful enough but now its leaking and gurgling on my battery hmm luckily i still got my trusty ego stardust long wick still vaping just burnt tasting every few hits meh ill have to take it apart and clean it out i suppose. if anyone has any other possiblatys it could be other than just needing to be emptied and cleaned please let me know

Benny,

Sounds like you might want to pick up a second battery, so you have one to vape on while the other's on the charger. If vaping has taught me anything, it's the value of backups and multiples :)

If your clearomizer isn't wicking well, it might be the thickness of your juice - higher-VG content juice is thicker, and that can get in the way on certain systems. If you have an empty bottle lying around, try putting some of your juice in it along with a few drops of distilled water (or high-test alcohol like vodka or Everclear) to thin it out. This will dilute the flavor and the nicotine content a bit, but the thinner the juice is, the easier it'll wick.

Vaping is more complicated than smoking, but the tradeoff for that complexity is variety and the ability to tailor your vaping in ways that were never an option with tobacco. If you stick with it and try new things (vape meets are especially good for this), you'll find your perfect setup and then vaping gets very cheap and very simple from then on.

Hi all!

My name is Geo and I live in Ahwatukee and work in south Phx... I've been smoking analogs at an average of a PAD and a high of much more than that for 28 years. I'm a materials manager for a an OEM manufacturer and one of my suppliers turned me on to vaping when he saw me outside having a smoke. I picked up a blu disposable at a smoke shop just to see if vaping would "work" for me and I rather enjoyed it. A few days later I found myself at zikwid at the recommendation of my friend and bought a joyetech ego-c kit and a ce-5 clearo and 2 small bottles of juice.

I dropped cigarettes that very day and let my wife burn up the last 3 or 4 packs we had. After vaping solid for about 8 days, I lit a cigarette for her and absolutely hated it! This is surprising because when I smoked, I loved it. So, then I found an online place (haven't found ecf yet) and ordered a sample pack of us made juice (10 diff flavors), two T3 clearos and 5 replacement heads, and another battery for the wife to use :)

That was working quite well and then I found ecf. I am definitely a forums kind of guy so I hopped in and started researching. I quickly realized that I was vaping too much for the 650 ego batteries and that I wanted vv. After much research and some nagging, I decided to order a Provari. I absolutely love it and am astounded as to how much the Provari has changed my vaping experience. I still have the fear of running out of batteries while I'm away from home...even though I'm using 18650's! I'm still very new to my Provari and still a little worried that I'm going to do something to harm it...but I suppose being as cheap as I am and spending that much on a mod, this is normal.

As of now I've realized how pricey juice can be...and I was trying to vape to save money... hah!

I'm currently waiting for my first order to come in from wizard labs and I can get into DIY juice. I'm also waiting for an RBA and RDA I ordered to come in...as I didn't have enough new stuff to learn yet!

I'm also into woodworking (turning, pen making, furniture) and was previously into RC electric racing and control line airplanes. maybe I can convert some of the money I have tied up in RC into vaping gear. :)

I could go on forever...I hope to be able to attend the VIP meeting next week!

Thanks,
Geo

Hiya Geo, I hope you can make it to a meet as well! It's a great way to try new devices and juices, and the people are fantastic folks. It sounds like you could easily build your own gear, building a basic mod isn't hard and you've got the skills and tools to make it look good too!

Vaping as an alternative to smoking isn't very expensive at all, but it also makes a helluva hobby and that's where it can start to really add up. If you can make your own gear and juices (also not hard to do) you can vape your habit away silly cheap.

Welcome to VIP!

Thanks for the welcomes! So disappointed that I missed the meet :( won't be able to make June's either...its my wife's birthday that day.

Will hope to make a future one though! And...have been thinking of a way to turn a desk stand for my Provari...so it won't fall over as easy!

Not sure if I will get into modding or not...just going to stick with my Provari for a while...but I am really enjoying DIY my own juice...just mixed up my first 4 batches last night. 3 of the 4 are vapable so that's a winning start as far as I'm concerned!

Thanks
Geo

Blah, thought I had posted in this thread already, guess I passed out at the keyboard that night. Name is Jeff, native born in the city here. Had been experimenting with various cig-alike clones almost 2 and a half years, slowly weening off the stinkies until I got my first Ego and tank couple months ago, been happily analog free since. Was a 23 year 1 1/2 PAD smoker before starting the transition away from them. And I am a big electronics gadget person, so this whole new arena is quite exciting to me.

Hobbies include writing, reading, listening to music with a very broad musical pallete, computers (mainly run Linux on my desktops and windows on my laptop), been past couple years messing with vocal synthesizers and 3D animation.

Hoping to meet more vapers in the wild or see a few of you at the some of the meets if I can get to any.

Welcome! Since you're in Peoria, watch for announcements for Westside meets. We're trying to get reorganized out here for those who don't want to drive all the way into Central Phoenix once a month (or that want to just have another fun weekend out with the fun vaping kids). *grin*

Feel free to PM me if you ever need any help or have any questions!

Greetings Everyone! I'm SOOOO happy I found this thread and group.
I live in Chandler AZ and I smoked analogs for somewhere between 12-15 years (I wasn't keeping track since I was ashamed of it anyway). About two weeks ago I saw the commercial for Blu ecigs and I did some research on their site to discover they had disposable ones I could try! I thought I'd have to make some big investment just to see if it may work (which I wasn't prepared for). I got a disposable Blu and my normal pack of camel lights (just in case) and all I used was the Blu.
The next day I used the camel lights but the heat, smell, smoke in my eyes, proved to me that all I really wanted to do was vape. One of my co-workers had made the same decision the day before and had visited a local shop (Not sure what the rules are but it's a shop in south Phoenix just north of Sky Harbor Airport where I work) and I looked up their website which is where I discovered the eRoll starter kit.
Long story short (too late) 5 days ago I finished my final cigarette and yesterday I purchased my eRoll and I'm not looking back! No smoke smell, no toxic breath, no having to shower after sneaking outside and hiding my habit from my wife. She knows I vape now. And while she is still sad that I continue my nicotine addiction I am planning on moving from 12mg to 8mg to 6 or 4 to zero over the next 18 to 20 months. I find that most of my addiction comes in the form of the act of smoking/vaping and taking the time to walk away from my desk and going outside once or twice an hour. My wife can come outside with me while I vape and not have to worry about second hand vapor lol.
She's even seen some of the flavors available in 0mg and wants to try some. She used to go with friends sometimes to smoke hookah at some of the hookah shops near ASU but decided to not do that now that we have children, but with 0mg eLiquid she can enjoy the same motions and flavors without the nicotine or smoke!
I never knew this culture existed and I've been missing out for a long time but now I'm loving it!

That's fantastic, Thor! Welcome to vaping, ECF, and VIP!

By all means, tell us about the shop where you got your eRoll, we're keen to know every single place in town where we can get gear and juice!

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask! We also have a meet coming up in a couple weeks, come hang out with us! There'll be lots of cool equipment to check out and try, lots of juices to sample, and we will have vendors there with screaming deals if you need supplies! Meet info is right here!
