1.7 carto on 3.7 mod same as......

I am trying to figure this out? Is there a chart for this somewhere? If I like low resistance 1.7 carto on my 3.7 box mod, is that the same as a 3.0 carto on a 5 volt box mod? Amp/voltage wise? I think I read somewhere that different combos equal the same thing? I need baby talk on this though lol.

Reason I am wondering is this: I have a vv altoid box mod on the way, it goes up to 6 volts, and was wondering what I would like best at 5-6 volt range if I love 1.7 lr on 3.7 box mod......

Batt is volts and carto is resistance. So you want to calculate for power (watts). Watts is the value that idicates how much heat your coil is getting. You are trying to compare the difference in voltage and resistance setups. So your 1.7ohm carto on a 3.7V batt pumps out around 8.05watts. 5volts with a 3.0 ohm carto would be 8.33watts and the 6V with same carto would give you 12 watts (a truely toatsy vape). Depends on the juice. The 6 volt range is on the high end with a 3 ohm carto/atty, but there are a few out there that dig that. I find the 8 - 9 watt range to be my sweet spot.

...me too...keep in mind, if you are talking about dual coils, that 12 watts would be split between the two coils or 6watts per coil and why dual coils are popular for high voltage..........

I haven't tried dual coils yet. Only single coil cartos. So you are saying that for dual coil the total wattage is half of what the calculator says it should be?

...the wattage is what the calculator sez it is, it is just split between the two coils...one of those electrical oddities...and...I'm sorry, I REALLY didn't mean to muddy up the murky waters............

It's split evenly too unless the two coils have different resistance values Oh noooooo ;) Don't listen to me, I'm just being funny.

Now that I have added yet another variable...
