I bought them at Quest Components you can get them for 82 cents each if you buy 16 or more .. they have a $30 min order, so I bought 25 plus some resistors ... here is the link
Quest Components Part Details

I have also bought some IRLZ34N .. they seem to be pin-for-pin compatible and work fine in a boxmod. You can get 5 of them for 5 bucks on Ebay .. you may be able to get them locally too ???
5 pcs IRLZ34N
Thanks alot. I found a company selling the IRLZ34N cheap enough. Now I just have to wait for this part. Nowhere local carries these electronics components, and the places that might have them look at me like I have a second head growing out of my shoulder when I ask about them. Very excited now I almost have the parts I need for my VV(using one battery and boost chip) with a touch sensor so I don't have to worry bout a switch dying.

LOL :laugh::p:?::closedeyes::facepalm:

Correction .. I DID have a diagram of the wiring for the 3103 / Z34N MOSFET .. look at the top of this thread .... the only difference you make is to substitute a small switch for the touch pads

Why would I sub a small switch for the touch pads? That was pretty much the allure of doing this, touch pads instead of a switch.

I was just giving you another alternative .. I love my touchies but sometimes my skin is too dry and I have to lick my finger to get it to work :facepalm: another member suggested replacing the 10M resistor with a 100M to solve this prob, I'm embarrassed .. can't recall who right now .. that should solve this prob.

Oh okay thanks! That' actually very helpful. Not everyone wants a touch switch after all, some people like the tactile switch. With any luck this time next week I will have my final mod. Well, the final mod I will build for my own personal use anyways.

the touch swith is so cool, i havent made one yet, want to but dont know where i can get those 10m resistors or the 100m

The 10M resistors I buy on Ebay .. 100M I don't have a good source, search for 100M, a place called Digikey (or something like that) carries them ... sorry to be so dumb :)

Asnider, here's a pretty cheap, stateside place to get some of the battery boxes. Also, look at the resistors. They've got 10M & 100M resistors. Their prices are pretty reasonable on most of their stock. I've ordered from them on more than one occasion.
Great job on the touch switch, thanks for putting it up.

Wow! They're cheaper than chicom! Man, why didn't I think of jameco? I have bought parts from them in the past, guess I am going brain-dead or something! Thanks so much!

No problem, glad I could help. :) Digikey has also got some good prices on the 2xAA boxes, $.89 for <10 about $.82 for 10+. Lots of other goodies there also.

Gee, looks like my "good deals" have not been that good after all ... does any US supplier carry the clear and transluscent colored boxes besides madvapes?
