I was reading on some website that one drop of the strong eliquid equals one cigarette?

If that's true I just smoked more in one sitting than I ever did with "analog" cigs.

I just got a ego/riva/whatever you call the push button kind and I was going a little crazy with it since this was my first time ever using it. And I keep refilling it and refilling and refilling.

I think I might of used 30 drops. If that equals 30 cigarettes like I read then wowzers, I'm gonna take a break for the night.

Did anybody else go kind of crazy with their e-cig on their very first time?

I might get a much weaker juice so that I can vap for longer without getting so much nicotine. I really liked the vapping it was fun.

I'm not in love with the pineapple flavor I bought because it doesn't really taste like pineapple, in fact it's kind of bland. But it's still very fun to vap. I think maybe I'll try the "mint" flavor. I want something really strong like altoids.

Ok so this is my hello/intro thread. Good night.

Don't worry about drops vs. cigs. Get a variety of strengths and use the ones that satisfy you. As long as you're not ODing on nicotine, you're fine.

As for the taste of pineapple, if you've just started vaping and are maybe even still smoking analogs, your taste buds are currently "broken". They'll come back after a few weeks of not smoking, and that "bland" pineapple flavor may turn out to be super pineappley. Don't throw it out, try it again later.

Whoever said that 1 drop equals a cigarette is either lying or they don't know what they're talking about.

Throw the formulas away and vape until you don't want a cigarette. Continue until you're off the cigarettes. The end. Make sure you're nicotine strength is high enough that it lets you do that. You can always lower it but that's what you have to do. Too low and you vape too much and I think all the flavorings will make you a little sick. It did me.

Juice flavors are a little bit like Yoplait yogurt. Apple pie yogurt doesn't taste like you're biting into a piece of apple pie, but you get a hint of some of the ingredient in apple pie when you eat it. Same thing with juice.

Enjoy it man, your body will let you know when you're getting too much nicotine. You'll get the "jitters". Like the others said, the amount of juice you are vaping isn't really comparable to the nicotine you get in a cigarette. I've been off "analogs" for about a week and a half, and this weekend I left my PV in the car for half a day and barely had cravings, so I know I'm not getting as much nicotine in my system as I did with analogs. I would have went crazy by then, lol.

This has been on my mind too lately being afraid that I like vaping so much I might actually be feeding myself more nicotine. It does however completely rid me of analogs and for that right now I'm very grateful. I do however think if quitting is your ultimate goal (which is why I started vaping) you should not be oblivious to how much you are putting in your system.

Right now I'm using 24mg liquids but just ordered 18mg's...
I've been itching to try mixing my own soon where I'll really want to drop the nicotine % extremely low, even if it means I vape often. I just need something to drag on, especially when I'm on the computer.

The first step is to get off the cigarettes completely. Next, try to lower your nicotine if that's what you want to do. I wouldn't do it too soon or you might start smoking again.

What exactly is the difference between vaping a lower nicotine and vaping a lot as opposed to vaping higher nicotine and not vaping as much?

I can't stop vaping... I'll puff on it all day and I do. So in this case I think the Nicotine percentage in the mix should certainly be lowered to cater for my habbit of wanting to vape more.

Simple fix, get some flavorings, mix with plain PG/VG proportion to your liking. Vape 0 nic to keep your hands busy and keep some of the good stuff when you crave a ..... Easy cheap way to try out DIY, and when you're comfortable mixing, add in high strength nic juice to the mix and you're on your way...:)

Exactly.

Not to mention when you drip say 2 drops onto your atty and vape, your atty doesn't actually burn all of the juice, which is why when you blow out your atty a ton of burnt juice comes out.

Wrong! 1ml of 24mg liquid is 24mg of nicotine. 24mg liquid MEANS 24mg per ml. I believe that does mean 2.4% nicotine also.

And the way to stop vaping constantly is put the ecigs in another room away from your computer and TV etc so you have to get off your .... to go vape. That's what I do at home so I don't vape constantly.

I'm curious to the difference in PG vs VG and why some people mix them together?

I started doing that recently as well, I try to leave it in a different room as much as possible so as to not vape myself into oblivion :)

Everyone chain vapes when they first start, an subsequently when they get each new mod. There's a learning curve, and we rush it because we wanna figure out everything quickly.

I suppose that's normal.

Once the novelty wears off, you'll slow down, and subsequently be able to tone down your nicotine strengths.

As mentioned before... Chain vape if you have to, just don't smoke actual cigarettes. You'll soon cross a threshold (if you haven't already) which makes you absolutely HATE the way they taste, and that's a huge puddle to leap over.
