I'd say that's a decent kit to get started. It's a little pricey, but with 5 atomizers the only thing you should have to worry about buying for a while is more juice. And since it's an eGo, you can always try out new delivery systems if you're unsatisfied with the tank system. Speaking only for myself, the delivery system (cartomizer, clearomizer, ect) was more important for me to narrow down than anything else. I happen to like the tank and atomizer system the most, although I don't have any experience with the eGo ones yet.

Good luck!

Well, it sounds like you've done your homework, alright, but . . . gosh. Ninety-three bucks for the kit itself? And not labeled Joyetech?

I dunno. It doesn't sound quite right to me, but you know best.

:)

In any event, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, and that's what counts.

IMO, being able to give up smoking is the best thing that has happened to me for a long time and for the extra few bucks in exchange for the unlimited gains.....that's priceless in my book. Just didn't want to spend good $ for a knock off and have myself frustrated (I'm sure i've found a way to stop smoking and i'm not letting myself go astray this time, no excuse).

As far as the delivery system goes, i think i should be covered with the 5 tanks (still not sure if those are cartomizer or clearomizer lol) that came with the kit, and the extra Mini Vivi Nova as well as the Kanger T2.

You are right about my juice selection but being a complete newbie, i have no idea where to start.
To some vapers, it may be for pleasure but to me, i just wanna kick the freaking habit of smoking and have no intention of looking into any flavored juice, at least for now ;).
I understand taste is very subjective, but would really appreciate if someone can give me a rough idea what i should be looking at if i just wanna have a taste close or similar to Marlboro Lights/Red.

Thanks again for such great support!!!

I wouldn't even bother with the tank setup if I were you. I've never had much luck with them and was a waste of money. But that's just me. eGo twist and a vivi nova or kanger is a win win. Only way to know for sure is to try though. Unfortunately. Live and learn. Good luck. Hope you can find a setup ya like without the all the costly trial and error most of us had to go through. Happy holidays everybody!

It all depends what you're looking for really. I don't use eGo's so I can't comment on the quality of the tank systems, but tank + atomizer systems in general give you a cooler vape. I use the 901-T system and it gives me a nice cool vape, and a much smoother throat hit. It also gives me the option of dripping directly onto the atty for a little more flavor and throat hit, and this also allows me to test different flavor combinations easier. They do mute the flavor a bit in comparison to a standard carto or clearo, but I find my menthol to be over-powering outside of a tank. I'm actually planning on grabbing an eGo-T and an 801-T next month for comparisons sake.

If you want a warmer vape or a sharper throat hit (or both), then a tank probably isn't the way to go.

But really, try everything you can until you find what works for you. If I had listened to the advice on these forums about tank systems, or the advice about 901 atty's not working properly on a Volt X2, then I'd still be smoking cigarettes. All that matters at the end of the day is that you're not smoking and getting healthier.

Good luck! And happy Holidays. :D

Congrats and welcome to ECF

I'm new to ECF, but I've been tobacco free since the first week of October.

I like you started with a kit similar to the V2. I actually started with a Halo. I also wanted to take advantages of being able to refill, have a better tasting vape and longer lasting batteries.

After continual search online and watching numerous YouTube Videos (Thanks all that posted one! You were great!) I went with a real Joyetech eGo system. I chose this for a multitude of reasons.
1. It seems like every other clone tries to mimic the eGo series of batteries and accessories.
2. That being said, there are tons of aftermarket accessories!
3. When I first started my cartridge system (over the fiber filled systems of V2, Halo, Blu etc.) I realized that I was probably missing about 50% of the flavor from the various juices that I purchased!
4. Cart System (eGo-T or eGo-C Type A or B) are easy to maintain. The plastic cart is easy to clean with warm water (no boiling or chemicals needed). I went with the type B atomizers as the carts are easier to find and in most cases a few cents cheaper than type A. Type B also holds more fluid.
5. I went with the type T system at first. A few dealers were closing them out and I picked up 2 starter kits for a few dollars more than 1 C Starter Kit. However, eGo being very interchangeable, I purchased the Type C atomizers as accessories for my kits (now I have 4 Atos, 4 batteries cheaper than 2 1/2C kits!) I'm also a fan of the Low Resistance Atomizers (Type B needed for Ego C B type carts). I have the regular Atmos, but I prefer the extra vape of the lower resistance.
6. 1000 mAh battery! I can puff on one of these things all day! Actually, I can get a good 8 hours of heavy vaping with a Low Resistance Atomizer.
7. I want to add: I'm using more of a VG based solution with the silicon tips at the end of the carts. The VG solution is a little thicker, less dry throat and throat hit. Combine that with the silicon ends for the carts, I have no seeping at all. A 70PG/30VG has a tendency to seep fluid when you get close to the end of the cart. I try to stay 40PG/60VG to 60PG/40VG with a preference of about 50/50.
I have also found that if you poke a hole in the silicone tip with the tip of a sewing needle before filling it with solution (you only need to do this the first time you use the tip), you can let out some of the air pressure in the tank. When you insert the cart into the Atomizer, the hole that you created will be stretched a bit instead of creating a big hole, and have a sugger fit around the atomizer tip again decreasing seepage.

Again, the eGo system being so "universal" at this time, I Managed to pick up a few Kango T3 Bottom Coil atomizers. They don't have a Low Resistance version, so I picked up an eGo Twist battery (variable voltage). I'm still not used to the tip of the Kango, but again, easy to clean, maintain and I prefer the bottom wick over the top wick as I have yet to have a "dry burn". The Kango holds 3 ml of fluid too! If that's too much, don't fill it up all the way!

My usual weekend kit is: 3 fully assembled setups with 3 different flavors of juices as I like to switch back and forth. 2 batteries charged and ready to go, my favorite easy chair and the remote!

My evening kit is 2 assembled units which I will refill before heading out the door to go to work. (of course taking a spare battery with me just in case!)

I understand its your money and your investment, but I hope my experience was able to help you in your vaping pleasure / endeavours.

I really appreciate everyone for taking the effort to help out a newbie, big thanks :thumb:.

Believe me, i've done ALOT (at least by my standard lol) of reading, google image as well a hours of youtube video, but i'm still super confuse when it comes to clearomizer, cartomizer (assuming is aka carto), tank and atomizer.....

So is the vivi nova and T2 tanks or clearomizer?
Does my kit comes with cartomizer or clearomizer or tank?
Joyeegoctypebcart.png

Included in this kit is 2 batteries, 2 eGo-C Type B atomizer bodies, 5 atomizer heads, 5 Tanks, 1 eGo fast USB charger, 1 AC to USB adapter, 1 pouch, 1 instruction sheet. You may select Regular resistance heads or Low resistance. The Low resistance burns hotter.

Oh, spanner, thank you very much for taking time to write such a detailed info, i apprecaite it.

Welcome to ECF

yea one of the most common step up kits is the EGO twist or vision spinner battery,
and a cartomizer like the vivi nova. the vivi isnt perfect for flavor mut it works amazingly well with little problems, and can be taken apart and cleaned.

A good twist kit can be had for less then the V2 ultimate kit and will be way more satisfying and cost effective.

if you like the idea of the cartridge that came with the V2 they are referred to as carts and you can buy them empty, fill them yourself and use them till they die (couple of weeks)

the vivi nova is a class called clearomizer and they make several good ones and many not so good ones. the CE2 or kanger T2 is a good one.

keep asking questions and never fear about asking too much, thats why we are all here. good luck in your new adventure!!

Welcome to ECF and the wonderful world of confusion. Agree with what Thrasher said but also will add the Vision Spinner along with the twist. The vivi nova's are really easy and simple. When they burn out just replace the head and keep on vaping. Congratulations on the success. Keep it up.

Hi again! The only thing I like about the kit you listed is that it comes with 650 & 1000 batteries. The 1000 can be a little intimidating in size until you get used to them (I still don't take them when I go out, since it looks like I'm carrying a weapon). The kit doesn't come with a vivi, clearo or carto, it comes with the older tank system, which I guarantee you will ditch soon. You might want to check out this kit: ViVi Twist Starter Kit | Virgin Vapor | Electronic Cigarette Organic e-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes

ETA: For size reference, this is a 1000mAh Twist next to a normal-sized cat:

The atomizer is the heating element. Your kit includes the atomizer and the tank, so this would be a two part tank and atomizer system. A clearomizer is a clear tank and atomizer contained in one device, so your T2 and Vivi Nova are both clearomizers. A cartomizer is usually a metal tube containing a filler (polyfill) lying on top of the atomizer.

The original e-cigarettes were three part systems of battery, atomizer and cart. Then came the cartomizer which combined the cart and atomizer, held more fluid and wicked better. Then along came the clearomizer which were clear and removed the guess-work of refilling, and the tank and atomizer system which combined the best parts of the old cart and atomizer system with the best part of the clearomizer.

There is also the carto-tank which is a cartomizer inside a tank, so it holds more fluid but has the taste of a cartomizer; and the rebuildable atomizer, which is an atomizer inside a clear tank that can have the wick be constantly rebuilt to a very fine degree.

All have their advantages and disadvantages, and everyone has their own preference.

Thx for the link Ocelot. They are going into my Wish List.

Thx again for your contribution Johnnie, i've saved your explanation on my One Note for future reading.......loosing my ability to concentrate and comprehend now but i appreciate the effort.
Will be doing alot of reading and research as my new year resolution is to convert all my friends, neighbor (the bad one as well), in fact everyone i know, to vaping.

Oh, spanner, thank you very much for taking time to write such a detailed info, i apprecaite it.

Glad to be of help!

Nice Kit!!
Based on what your description above: you will get 5 cartridges and 5 atomizers. The Joyetech carts come in either white or black. Mine came shipped in white, and actually, I prefer it now that I have it, as a little tilt is all I need to see how much juice is remaining.

Vapor Alley has been my shop of choice for accessories for my eGo system. They have TONS of Tanks and Clearomizers, and I'm sure after looking at their web site, you'll know what they are and how to differenciate between them. I'm a fan of the Kanger T3 system. Considering your kit is with the Twist batteries, if you get a clearomizer, crank that baby up to 4.2 - 4.7 volts for a good vape on the T3!

Vapor Alley has an Awesome Vape Tray ($8.95) that I have on my stand next to my easy chair. It keeps three eGo kits standing upright and allows me to select the flavor of the moment (as I usually have 3 set up and ready to vape!)

Don't forget to pick up a few silicone end caps for your type B cart. This prevents "leaking" or seepage. I picked mine up at My Freedom Smokes (both are listed under forum suppliers at the top of the page). I think they charge $2.95 for 10. While you're there pick up a 55 gallon drum of their Juicy Fruit vape! You'll be addicted and a small bottle is not enough!

If you need a carry case for your eGo 1000 mAh battery, I have found the genuine Joyetech LARGE case fits everything perfectly! Most of the aftermarket products won't have enough room for all your "stuff" with the larger battery. I picked up mine at My Freedom Smokes as well.

Lastly, go to your local drug store and pick up a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide. I use that to soak my atomizers and bottom coil assemblies for the Clearomizers. Soak for an hour or so at room temperature, rinse with water and let dry for 24 hours or so on a paper towel. It removes most the previous flavors (unless it was a very strong flavor like Clove), but after a few vapes after a strong flavor, you'll find your vape back to normal flavor.

Oh, and get some batteries for that remote! You won't be wanting to get up from that easy chair!!

Enjoy & Merry Christmas!
