Congrats and welcome to ECF
I'm new to ECF, but I've been tobacco free since the first week of October.
I like you started with a kit similar to the V2. I actually started with a Halo. I also wanted to take advantages of being able to refill, have a better tasting vape and longer lasting batteries.
After continual search online and watching numerous YouTube Videos (Thanks all that posted one! You were great!) I went with a real Joyetech eGo system. I chose this for a multitude of reasons.
1. It seems like every other clone tries to mimic the eGo series of batteries and accessories.
2. That being said, there are tons of aftermarket accessories!
3. When I first started my cartridge system (over the fiber filled systems of V2, Halo, Blu etc.) I realized that I was probably missing about 50% of the flavor from the various juices that I purchased!
4. Cart System (eGo-T or eGo-C Type A or B) are easy to maintain. The plastic cart is easy to clean with warm water (no boiling or chemicals needed). I went with the type B atomizers as the carts are easier to find and in most cases a few cents cheaper than type A. Type B also holds more fluid.
5. I went with the type T system at first. A few dealers were closing them out and I picked up 2 starter kits for a few dollars more than 1 C Starter Kit. However, eGo being very interchangeable, I purchased the Type C atomizers as accessories for my kits (now I have 4 Atos, 4 batteries cheaper than 2 1/2C kits!) I'm also a fan of the Low Resistance Atomizers (Type B needed for Ego C B type carts). I have the regular Atmos, but I prefer the extra vape of the lower resistance.
6. 1000 mAh battery! I can puff on one of these things all day! Actually, I can get a good 8 hours of heavy vaping with a Low Resistance Atomizer.
7. I want to add: I'm using more of a VG based solution with the silicon tips at the end of the carts. The VG solution is a little thicker, less dry throat and throat hit. Combine that with the silicon ends for the carts, I have no seeping at all. A 70PG/30VG has a tendency to seep fluid when you get close to the end of the cart. I try to stay 40PG/60VG to 60PG/40VG with a preference of about 50/50.
I have also found that if you poke a hole in the silicone tip with the tip of a sewing needle before filling it with solution (you only need to do this the first time you use the tip), you can let out some of the air pressure in the tank. When you insert the cart into the Atomizer, the hole that you created will be stretched a bit instead of creating a big hole, and have a sugger fit around the atomizer tip again decreasing seepage.
Again, the eGo system being so "universal" at this time, I Managed to pick up a few Kango T3 Bottom Coil atomizers. They don't have a Low Resistance version, so I picked up an eGo Twist battery (variable voltage). I'm still not used to the tip of the Kango, but again, easy to clean, maintain and I prefer the bottom wick over the top wick as I have yet to have a "dry burn". The Kango holds 3 ml of fluid too! If that's too much, don't fill it up all the way!
My usual weekend kit is: 3 fully assembled setups with 3 different flavors of juices as I like to switch back and forth. 2 batteries charged and ready to go, my favorite easy chair and the remote!
My evening kit is 2 assembled units which I will refill before heading out the door to go to work. (of course taking a spare battery with me just in case!)
I understand its your money and your investment, but I hope my experience was able to help you in your vaping pleasure / endeavours.
