LOL. In one month I probably spent $800, but it has worked! I now own three ProVari's, at least 8 Vivi Nova clearomizers, several large bottles of juice and at least a dozen repair kits for the ViVi's as well as a dozen assorted batteries. My last analogue was over a month ago. Well worth the cost.

Cheers,

We see this a lot here. Either people who can't seem to quit smoking or folks like you becoming over enthusiastic and buying up everything under the sun.

I've done my share of experimental vaping and buying.

Anyway, i think it levels off for most people after a bit. The real issue I have is that you are buying all of these things and right no the vaping world is making things obselete in WEEKs not even months anymore.

I wouldn't go buying every new thing if I were you. Stick to devices and delivery systems that have a very long track record of good reviews. Get something that works and just turn off ecf for a bit. This place has a way of making you buy things you dont need. You'll read someone's post and be all..oh i have to try that...is so neat.

Just don't buy anythign for a good long while.

James,
What repair kits for the Vivi Novas? Since I have quite of few of those coming my way, that may be something else I still need.

3 ProVari's? That should be close to $600 by itself. I have considered the ProVari Mini for a lower profile MOD, but will wait and see what I have headed my way and how it handles before deciding on that.

Trying to convince myself I need another Provari for backup, but I don't see it. They have some blemished one's at the moment and I'm on the verge of picking up another. Why three?!?

he is probaly just talking about the replaceable heads for the vivi nova...they do burn out eventually...there is a way to re-wick the vivi nova but its a procedure that ought to be only taken on by folks who have vaped a while and/or are handy with electronics...pbusuardo has a nice tutorial if you are interested

Nerd,
See, you're ruining the whole thing for me. :)

Actually I do agree with you, but wanted to get good hardware to start as I know many folks that started with the cheap stuff, got frustrated and quit altogther. To give myself the best chances, I really wanted stuff that would work, had a track record and would not be a nonstop frustration which might cause a relapse to cigarettes. I do thing the old saying "you get what you pay for" might actually apply here. Either way, except for the problematic (and now communicating) vendor, I have most of I need for some time already ordered. Only thing I still "want" is a good rebuildable. Then I will probably turn this off for a while as it is very tempting to read through all the reviews and get roped into the newest thing.

OK, I do have those in a variety of resistances depending on the device I'll be using them with and the expected toll my playing around will take on them. Not sure I will want to rebuild those though.

Is this over the top?

That is not a good question to ask here. The site should be called Vape Gear Enablers.

I don't see anything on your list with a cigarette form factor. For some people, me included, that form factor provided a psychological familiarity that very much eased my initial move to vaping. I actually quit from vape one using cig-alikes and constantly clutched my battery like a security blankie for a couple of weeks even after my Twists arrived.

You might want to order a disposable NJOY King to see if the form factor and similarity to smoking is helpful to you. I've not tried them but nearly everyone who has report that they are the closest thing to mimicking smoking cigarettes.
VAPING IN 2013 WITH THE NJOY KING - Grimm Green

The nJoy Kings are too expensive to be of practical long-term use but if you find that the form factor works in some way for you the Joye eRoll/Ovale eMini (same thing) works pretty closely to the way NJOY Kings do.

eMini E-Cigarette Review (aka eRoll)
Joyetech eRoll Review. This little eCig is AWESOME!

I appreciate what you are saying, but I really have determined to stop and the form is no longer an issue for me, the nicotine is though. My logic, and I hope I'm right, is that the less they look and feel like the analogs the better for me. I have a blind determination once I have made up my mind about anything and this is no different. Again, thank you for the reply, but I hope I am right.

It's not a matter of right or wrong, but what what ends up working best for you individually.

Please don't discount how tightly intertwined the nicotine addiction to smoking becomes with psychological factors and physical behaviors. For some people, like me, going through the physical motions of smoking to psychologically associate those behaviors with vaping rather than smoking works a treat—no cravings and never missed my 2+ PAD habit from vape one.

Others find no need to re-associate vaping behaviors with previous smoking behaviors and do great. They happily go straight from smoking to vaping with no need for anything resembling a cig-alike without missing a beat. Yet others need to draw a sharp psychological line in the sand between vaping and smoking—no reminders of smoking, no matter how seemingly insignificant, allowed for them.

The point I'm trying to make is to use whatever gear you find that loads the odds most heavily in your favor. That will be different for different people. Just don't get stuck on the idea of drawing a line in the sand between smoking and vaping unless you find it works well for you. If it doesn't, don't sweat it and try another line of attack.

Everyone of us want to stop Analogs and never look back, however it's a Journey not a race. I 'am a visual learner. There are some great reviewers on YouTube. They explain and show you the pluses and the minus and some suggestions where to buy. And if your not sure you can play it again. And all of us have spent on something that was crap. I was lucky I wrote in to Vapeteam live and Dimi got me started down this road. Dimi is the Vaping Greek on youtube. Phil Busardo great reviewer, another is GrimmGreen. Watch and if you have questions ask them. For myself I went from Ego to Ego twist to last month Provari. You may love Vivi Nova or Maybe a tank instead. But all ways HAVE FUN. :rickroll:Go to vape shops and taste different juices. There are vape meets maybe somewhere near you. Have Fun and if your CC needs exercizzzze I would be in for that.:D:thumbs:

i have watched an unbelieable amount of reviews and read a lot, mostly on this forum. I have no idea how all this will work, but tomorrow is a pretty exciting day for me when my first shipment arrives. It feels a lot like Christmas right now. My biggest fear is I will hate all the juice I have selected. Hopefully not, but again no way to really know for sure yet.
This is the first time I have ever wanted to quit. I've always said I knew I should, and knew it was bad for me but that quiting would require the desire to do so and for reasons I can't explain, the last few weeks have me wanting it for the first time.
I'm pretty stubborn, so I start something and rarely turn back.

I remember these days. They were kind of fun. I ended up with 2 variable voltage Spinners, 1 VV eGo, multiple cig-alike units, and 2 basic, cheap Volt X2s. I mostly use my Volts. Lots of cartomizers. Mom got most of those. Cleartos. I still use those. And a few tanks. I use those as well.

Nothing really went to waste. It all helped me quit. At this point, I'm long past the break-even point and about $2,000 in the black. I think it took me longer than average to quit completely, but perseverance does pay off eventually.
