We get more people here voting for the best bakery/dessert/tobacco flavors of the year than they can get in that poll. So, how accurate can their assumptions about vaping be?
Shouldn't that be "hiding behind trees"? You're mixing your metaphors Robert.
Where I come from very, very few people vape - at least that is my impression.
How long to you steep metaphors after you mix them?
" 5,679 Americans" the current population is 318.9 million... I know dick about stats and polls, but couldn't they have at least gotten 10,000?
I've been vaping since Feb 2015, I've seen ONE vapor in public, and she was driving behind me. I used to travel all over CT, MA, and RI for work.
I just finished reading an article in Business Insider claiming that about 10% of US adults now vape.
This was according to the online Reuters/Ipsos poll of 5,679 Americans conducted between May 19 and June 4 2015.
This appears to be almost four times as high as a US government estimate from 2013 claiming that 2.6% of adults use e-cigarettes.
Age distribution is also interesting. About 15% of poll participants under the age of 40 now vape.
It didn't surprise me that almost 70% of current users started in the past year alone, but it was a bit of a surprise that about three quarters of them also smoke cigarettes (according to the poll).
Everyone I know at work who vapes is a dual user. They vape to get around the smoking ban on the property...
Umm what reservations sell them for that cheap?!?!? In Arizona they sell them for $60+ a cartonMost heavy smokers I know go to Indian reserves to buy their smokes and they're getting them for about 80 cents a pack of 20, which is dirty cheap. It's cheaper than vaping and that's what's holding many of them back.
