i think people forgot just how much smoke a cig puts out, it really isn't that much. i've gotten much bigger clouds of vapor from a mini than i did smoke from a cig.

i tend to agree with the op but i'd have gone about it differently lol. i see people complain about how they vape more than they smoked, personally i think it's due to the increase in vapor production vs a cig, you got your body addicted to a new feeling and almost mainlining nicotine straight into your lungs. i find myself taking much much deeper pulls with a pv than a cig. if i inhaled a cig as deeply as i inhale vapor i'd be doubled over in pain.

cigs also begin expiring the second you light them, they have a 5-7 minute life span. if you had a cig that lasted all day, like a battery, i think most of us would smoke more often. with a mini, if i wear out a battery it tells me "hey, slow down". with something that lasts all day it's just constant vaping. it really isn't an inconvinence to change a battery, frankly that's just being lazy if it's a big insurmountable issue.

my main problem with the the ego type cigs is that they're popular. like all popular things they will be considered crap the second something slightly better comes along. i witnessed it first hand on here when the ego almost immediately replaced the 510 as the recommendation of choice. everybody was all about the 510, now they're practically considered crap. i hate "keeping up with the jones".

The main reason I switched to ego was because of battery life. No, I dont chain vape. I vape just like I used to smoke. Basically in sessions of 5 to 10 good draws and I would put it away until I have another craving.

With the 510's and KR808's, I found myself changing batteries too often and carrying around alot of things in my pocket which I hate!

When my 10+ hours are up with my ego xl, I take my fully charged riva and go another 10. I never had a problem running out of batteries since I got them! Am I too lazy to change batteries, cartomizers, and refill cartridges? NO! I am annoyed!

With the mega atty and 2ml cart, I fill 1x or 2x max per day and I am done and do not need to deal with this anymore.. Just vape and enjoy... Versus carrying around a case, a pcc, 3 or 4 batts with me and some extra cartoz or juice and constantly rotating them to avoid buring the carts Id say I am now on cloud 8 1/2..... I will be on 9 when they make a mega LR atty and when I find some flavors I cant get sick of...

The funniest thing about this is...
Now I am used to the EGO and neither feels heavy... I don't even notice it anymore.
It is all because we are used to having a paper cig in our hand.... the feeling of heavy, or big - goes away, pretty rapidly.

I remember my first Camel Wide. Gosh, it felt like a novelty cigar.

:p :vapor:  Funny thread, I like volcano for almost the same reasons, flavor and light weight mostly. I don't usually carry it around when I go out though, that's what the ego is for, long lasting trustworthy battery, only having one to deal with is nice when on the go. I have found I prefer the volcano atty on the ego, even made extender sleeve to put the 306 drip tip onto so I can use the cone. Still diggin' my v-batt

5. I can vape and play bass...if you keep your eGo in your mouth you better invest in dentures

:p

I find that when I'm writing, or using both hands for anything, I grab my xhale. Not as satisfying, but it works better for those situations. Just like I don't wear my dress shoes to the beach. :)

My question is, why don't they just make a PCC that can charge several batts at once?

A Blu PCC is rated at 6 recharges for a 90 mah battery. That's 540 mah, minimum, for the PCC's battery. Volcano's Magma 510 PCC is rated at 6 charges as well, but for a 180 mah battery. That's 1080 mah, minimum, for that PCC. Speaking strictly in numbers, this seems like your idea should work. My Android phone has a 1400 mah battery in it that could easily fit inside a PCC - you could get almost 8 charges out of that thing.

But then there are other things to think about. All of the batteries I've just mentioned, from the PCCs to the PVs and even my phone discharge at 3.7v. So...while you could still theoretically do it, you'd only be able to supply 3.7v split in 5ths across each of the 5 batteries, so it'd take at least 5 times as long to charge them.

Further, the circuitry for the batts is going to be 'hungry' for the 3.7v charge it's expecting and is going to draw as quickly as possible from the PCC, which is going to overwork the PCC's battery. It will get very hot and likely be damaged, possibly leak or explode. I'm guilty of doing this to my phone all the time with wireless tethering...the phone's got modded firmware and isn't meant to do this and it has to draw a lot of power to pull it off. It gets so hot that it starts shutting down components to protect them from damage within about 15 minutes of use, making it good for emergencies but not much else.

The only way that I know of that you could build something like what you're suggesting is to have one small battery cell for each charging port in the PCC - 1 cell per PV battery. That also means that you're going to be carrying around something in your pocket which, at least at the point of the charging connector for the PCC's batteries, is capable of delivering around...18.5v/1000mA in the event of a short. Fatal? No, but possibly unpleasant and certainly a fire hazard.

Also...I am not an electrical engineer. I took one DC circuits class in my first semester of community college about 12 years ago while waiting on my GED to get graded so I could move into the IT program, so all of this should be taken with a grain of salt. I made a C-.

Wow...speaking as someone who has both (and promptly gave the volcano magma to a friend who hasn't used them at all), I much more prefer my eGo. Size is perfect, I don't mind the button at all (actually prefer it in loud environments where the sensor goes off when I am at a football game at random), I carry around one battery the entire day, and taste is very subjective. So it has a cone...and? I hate changing batteries...volcano i can go through that battery in an hour. eGo lasts all day into the next before I charge. Batteries might be more expensive but considering i havent had to replace one in six months of use (both originals are going strong and show no signs of slowing down!) I think the cost isn't much of an issue. You sir need to learn how to actually make real points and not repeat yourself (points 1 & 8 and 3 & 10).
