Please. Not that particular idjit but a different one does cloud comps. He made a build at home that read out at .01. The reader at the shop read it at 0.00. He used it anyways for the comp.
He ended up winning, however melted the wiring in his unreg'd box from how hot the battery got just during his turn and it ended up venting right after he got it out. And that was a Sony.
I know. They mess with me consistently about girls can't handle big builds. I handed cloud comp boy my mod one day towards the beginning of my employment after they said something like that and told him to try it.Didn't tell him it was a Sig30 with Lemo2 at like 25W with a 1.1ohm 28/32 Clapton wire and 12mg. After he finished coughing up a lung, I simply said "what? Can't handle a real girl's build?" Even the manager hopped off my nuts for awhile after that one.

Any cloud comp that would allow someone to compete using a build that low, should be boycotted, and boo'd out of the vape world. Any comp worth a darn, puts a lower limit, usually around .05....and that is stupid low as it is, cause like I said...unless you are using a Fluke meter, its more then likely going to be off...and you had better hope its reading the coil as lower then it actually is, and not the other way around.

We would have gotten back close to $3000 (thanks to the $2500 cashback for me being a full-time student), but apparently the effing government decided that the $416 a month we paid from July through November (though they claimed it was through December) and they took $1805 back to "make up for it." That means we paid $777 a month for insurance with a $5200 (x2) deductible. How the eff is that AFFORDABLE healthcare?! I got a $2500 credit for being a full time student and they took back almost all of it. I am beyond disgusted. We couldn't even afford the $416 a month, much less $777. And they owe me back for what they took for December. We were uninsured in December. Effing government.
So you had health insurance from July through November/December? What about January through June? Technically, I believe that if you didn't have insurance from January through June, that's what you got dinged for, not that you didn't pay enough when you did have insurance.

It was another local shop's grand opening. I don't even bother going to the grand openings anymore, they used to be nice, now it's chit like that.
That's what I'm scared of. Haven't done my taxes yet cuz I was unemployed from Jan till Oct with no insurance at all last year. Why do I need insurance? Ugh.... Sitting at the repair shop with my son's car. Apparently the rear brakes had been making noise and no one thought that it should be looked at. So the rear brake calipers are frozen. New calipers, new rotors, new pads, and the struts are bad so four new struts. Will be $1,600 for this repair. Apparently the rear brakes has been bad for quite a while, because the front brake pads are barely worn.

They said that since the struts are bad, I should replace the tires too, but they still have pretty good tread left, so I'll wait a couple of months. It's bad enough having to shell out $1,600, I don't want to shell out an extra $600 or so for four new tires at the same time.

I think the hardest thing is getting the kids to learn to understand when their cars are not "right" so it can be addressed before it gets worse.

How do they not feel a difference? Bad struts are easy to notice in the feel of the ride.

Actually when I was driving the car I didn't notice the bad struts either. The suspension wasn't thunking and the car wasn't sitting low. The guys at the shop showed me where the struts were leaking fluid.
I was thinking more about the grinding noise coming from the brakes. Grinding means that they totally didn't notice the chirping noise coming from the low brake pad warning clip.

My oldest knows what to listen and look for now, after the transmission went out in his car, he got overcharged to fix it.
I tried to get him to take it somewhere else, he wouldn't listen. Now he listens, calls me before he does anything major, so I can tell him if he's paying too much.
