That was discussed in another thread and I almost pulled the trigger on it. Any idea of the dimensions? I'm intrigued by the Piccolo because of just how tiny it is. I wonder if the Temon is similar-sized? I guess I could deal with cosmetic flaws if it's that cheap. I also wonder how the switch is, whether it uses a spring for battery contact.

See, now I'm just being picky. But I hate buying things I later don't use for whatever reason.

The Temon, G16 and Piccolo (not sure about the new one with the contoured tubes) are the same size. You can swap tubes between the caps/buttons. The G16's, Temons and Piccolo v1/v2 have a spring that is attached to the post in the top cap. You should be able to replace that (definitely on the older piccolos) with the GP telescoping post.

The Temon switch is a bit different than Gus, but it does the same thing...battery sits on delrin, push the switch and the contact comes up to hit it, pretty general bottom button design.

Thanks again for all the advice.

I wish I could just buy a G16 or Piccolo. I'm worried what cosmetic defect I'll get with the Temon. If it's pronounced I won't be able to stop staring at it. If I ding up a mod on my own it's like a battle scar, but if I buy it that way I can't stop noticing it.

I know I'm being picky, but I buy things carefully because I hate regretting a purchase. :)

Fair enough, I'm just sharing what I know about each.

Aside from the strange button design (it actually looks like it will be quite nice once you get used to it) the Mert looked TOO perfect for the Penelope. I just ordered one with a brass tube added. Both in 14650. I need to get some Efest 18460 IMR's before it gets here! Super excited! I've wanted a 17mm device to rock my Penelope since I got it! :D

Flaws be damned. Just bought a Temon. Once I receive it, I will post some pics and a damage assessment. For the price and availability, I had to go for it. Normally my OCD would not allow such behavior, but I have come to the realization that I'm not going to hold my breath for the G16 or Piccolo to become available and then make an attempt to purchase one. Meh.

I wish there were more 17mm 14xxx mods out there. The Mert is literally the only one I know of that will fit my Penelope flush.

Hey, you've given a lot of good advice. You showed me stuff I couldn't find on my own. Much appreciated.

I'm getting more and more tempted to do the same. Did you get polished or satin?

I do too. I rigged my iseason to run 14500 last night to get an idea of battery life. With my IGO-L mounted, 1.5ohm coil (it's a coil rolled for my Provari so higher resistance) I got about 4 hours of pretty steady vaping -- not too bad. On my Provari with an 18490 I get about 8-10 hours, so the 600 mAh stated on the IMRs is pretty accurate for the 14500s.

Well I ordered the Mert itself and brass tube I bought seperately both in 14650. You get to use the 950mAh Efest IMRs yet still get the same slim, pocket friendly device! Win! I almost got the device itself in 14650 and got the extra brass tube in 14500 but I didn't see the point since I wanted the Mert A) because it's the same diameter as the Penelope which looks suuuppeeer sexy! and B) I wanted something more pocket friendly, and when it comes to pocket friendlyness it's all about the diameter, NOT the length IME. I'd rather have a 17mm 14650 mod than a 23mm 18350 mod for out and about use because the thickness is what you notice, not the length.

Edit: I can't wait to see what it looks like with the SS end caps and the brass center tube with the Penelope on top! In Scott's (igetcha69) review he has the special edition which has the brass accents and everything else is SS, but I wanted all SS with the extra brass center tube. I think it's going to look extremely sexy! :D

Phreaky, I agree about the length, and the 14650 gets you another 300mAh. I just happen to have 14500 batteries, and the length to press the pinkie switch makes it a bit more uncomfortable at the longer length, but it should be just about as easy to carry. I just figured I'd carry two extra 14500s and change when needed.

You guys are killing me! The only reason I avoided the Mert is because of Scott's review and the wobbly switch (not that that will be an issue for everyone, but I know it would be for me). Otherwise it looks dead-sexy.

I got as far as entering the shipping information on the Temon, and then the 19 euro shipping/tax charge. Just about $102 shipped. I'm too damn worried about what the flaws might be! I hope yours is just about un-noticeable, minimalsaint. I'm sure you'll love it either way, and I'm still not sure I won't order one.

Staircase- I hope to have the mod in hand by next week and I will definitely post some pics and info. As a shot in the dark, I did ask for the "least blemished" of what they had, but that may just get laughed off as they slide my gouged unit into the shipping envelope.
However, upon looking for a DID I inquired with some other MMV customers who received blemished units and they told me that the flaws were only visible under a magnifying glass. If they have super high QC standards, it may not even look blemished to the average joe like myself.

I know the feeling I'm super excited! At first I really wanted the Mert until I saw Scott's review about the switch and had originally changed my mind. But after thinking about it and watching Navy_Lifeguard's video (I don't speak a word of German so I really have no idea what he said but just by watching it) and then decided the switch wouldn't really bother me. It seems like as long as you have it adjusted properly it most likely won't be a big deal. Maybe there's even a way to mod it so that it will be easier to use. Either way, the switch seems to take hardly any pressure to activate (by far one of the things I loved most about my Precise+ aside from the flange and lock) and it also seems like once you get used to where you have the switch set you can flick it open in a fraction of a second, take a few vapes and flick it closed. Plus it just looks sooooooo sexy with a Penelope on it!

I've been waiting ever since I first got my Penelope for something that would fit it as well as the Mert does, the Sturm was the only mod I knew of that was close but even that's too big. It looks even better on the Mert than it did on my SS "TMF" GGTB (in pictures at least) it fits so well, and even if I wanted to wait for Imeo's Proteus to come out that's still going to be VV and I wanted a mech mod anyways, though I still may get one depending on how low an ohm of a coil it can use. :D

Well, my "blemished" temon arrived today and the only thing missing is the engraving- otherwise, the mod is perfect. Not a nick, scratch or dent on any of the parts. Overall, I am extremely happy with the product itself. My DID should arrive tomorrow, but in the meantime here is a pic.... For reference in between a 1300 spinner and 650 eGo:

That is seriously awesome. I'm really glad yours is in great shape. How is the switch? Scott noted that the spring was stiff, but pretty easily to mod.

The brass looks awesome. That thing is seriously tiny! Great comparison pic. :)

I love this little thing-
I have never used a bottom button, so I couldn't say for sure if it is the spring or my fumbling pinky to blame. Overall very nice though- the satin and brass is a good look, and it feels solid for the size.
They threw in a spring rebuild kit an a replacement snap ring for the switch. All brass contacts, what I assume to be a small brass hot spring on top with an adjustable center post. To be honest, if I had to rebuild the head or switch, it looks like something that could easily be done without parts from the manufacturer.
Like I said- for the price and availability, I couldn't pass.
*Not to mention that it shipped from Greece on Monday and it landed on my doorstep at noon today.
Overall extremely satisfied with the money spent- it is a nice piece that will be around for a long time.

Using it now with a EVOD- 510 to eGo adapter.
No slots in the brass top but I don't really have anything that needs them so I like it better than slotted.
DID waiting in the mailbox now- will post another pic later after work!

Went ahead and placed my order for the blemished Temon 14500 satin. Life's too short and I've searched too long for a 14500 mod I can order. If I need the slots I can always mod a thin brass washer to use between the cap and atty (I do still like to use the occasional carto and 510 atty for dripping).

Thanks for taking the initial risk. Here's hoping mine's in good condition like yours.

How long from placing the order did you receive yours?
