Hey guys,

Been damn long since I came onto ecf. Been vaping for 2 years already, hahaha. Upgraded from a normal ego-T in 2011 to a Lavatube shortly, then change to HC's Ego VV/VW then now I bought a sigelei ZMax V3 as a 2year vape present for myself. :D

I was just wondering cause I hate changing batteries all the time, and using 18650s. With the Zmax I received today. I was thinking if I can make it a lot smaller with a 18500 without losing that much battery capacity from the 18650s.

18500P Batteries from BT SG

That's the battery I'm looking at, does anyone know if it works fine with the Zmax? Cause from what I know if its a protected battery, the Zmax won't fire it cause it has a protection circuit of its own?

Also, I have been using this charger for a year,

CGI Charger

If I buy the battery, can use that to charge still or do I have to buy another charger?

Thanks for all the help in advance guys.

Sadly, I was removed from the private group SG Vapers ): so I guess I have to post here instead.

Hey bro,

Thanks for replying. Just curious ah, anyone ordered these before?
$15.68 Panasonic NCR18650B Rechargeable 3400mAh 3.7V 18650 Lithium Batteries 2-pack - authentic cells / 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

$13.62 Panasonic NCR18650PD 18650 3.6V 2900mAH Rechargeable Li-ion Batteries (2-Pack) 2-pack at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Seems like there's a craze for Panasonic NCR batteries. Are they really that good? If they are then I'll just get new 18650 batteries rather than 18500s.

Try not to order batteries from Slowtech.I heard it takes ages to get through customs... D:

yeah go for the AW from fstoplights.
i think FT can't ship batteries now but not too sure though.
i also have non-battery orders from them which has been stuck in HK since 23/10.

I heard there's a problem at HK Posting centre or something that's why damn slow. They say will tio 15days delay. So I should get AW IMR batteries from fstoplights ah. Should I try the 18500s? Or BlackTact's Battery is damn unstable shouldn't use?

Not saying that its cui or what, I meant no one really gave reviews on their reliability leh. That's why I wondering whether their batteries like legit or not. Cause 18500 first time I see 2000mAh. So can anyone vouch on their CGI batts? Especially their 18500s?

Anyway bros, UltraFire batts good? Like their 3000mAh 18650?
I can't use them cause its protected on my Zmax V3 right?

Generally I guess to get IMR batteries regardless of brands. I was advised by a battery shop to get IMR becos
a) They wont overcharge and spoil the batteries
b) The "power" comes faster

A) is false. This is dependent on the charger itself. Faulty/incorrect charger with a good battery = boom. See the link?
B) is somewhat true. IMRs has higher discharge rate and capacity because it is not externally limited by any circuitry hence it is favored in high power applications.

Whoever is telling you this may not necessary have done his homework. IMRs may not necessary go boom but a faulty charger that keeps charging even when the batt is fully charged will spoil anything you put in it.

Hmmm, thanks guys. I guess I'll stick to AW IMR 18650s then. I'm not really in a rush to get them, so are there any cheap ones online?

No they are not cheap AWs around IMR18650 goes for S$17 a piece here. the AW supplier DOES NOT sell to any place in China. So if you have a source in China, chances are that they are counterfeits.

locally there's a Qoo10 shop selling AWs and fstoplights.com

I'll personally get from FStopLights. I bought a flashlight from that guy. Young man, reliable and honest in his business. And if you see the range of lights he sell, his batteries won't be far off. I'll be getting some 18500 and 18650 from him soon. Recommend his stuffs man.

Not shooting other companies down, I go blacktactical all the time too. Just that FStopLights left a much better shopping/buying experience.
