It this battery still safe to use on my snow wolf? Couple weeks ago sparks came out when I tried to put it in and blew the black part of the ring away. I been still using it since, but now I'm more concerned about batteries exploding.

1) The spark, or arcing you seen was from the exposed negative casing, the top, raised cap at the top and underneath that it is connected to is the positive of the battery, everything metal, down to the bottom is negative, the wrap is actually an insulator, if torn when this battery arced was this negative section making contact where it should not be.
2) Temporary simple fix, some black electrical tape at the exposed section will insulate it, get online and order some battery sheathing wraps and positive O-ring insulators, you can find these at like kidneypuncher.com and any battery distributor like imrbatteries.com, liionwholesale.com, and illumn.com
3) When the new wraps arrive, remove your old damaged wraps and insulator rings, gently set a new insulator ring on the positive top, then slide a new wrap on leaving about 1/8 inch at each end of the battery, get a hair dryer, and heat the wrap until it shrinks up tight and snug, and folded over both ends

That's a disaster waiting to happen. PLEASE discontinue using that battery immediately, and put it in a safe place (ideally a plastic battery case; failing that, a plastic sandwich bag will do. Put some black electrical tape on the ends if you have some) until you can take it to an electronics or home-improvement store for recycling. We don't want you to be the next story in the evening news.

Okay thank you I will purchase them right now. My snow wolf is wierd, I have another18650 3600mah batteries in blue wrap. I put it in he snow wolf it turns on but it says check atomizer. Anyone know what that means? I'm a noob to this vape thing still. I just don't want to order the wrong battery

Don't use those batteries with that snow wolf, they are not high discharge, max 5 to 10 amps continuous discharge rated ICR chemistry and if they decide to go nuclear due to over discharge the literally go "BOOM" like a 1/4stick of dynamite, the snow wolf needs batteries that are at least 20amps continuous discharge rated IMR or INR chemistry

First, you need to be running only high amp batteries in that device - Sony VTC4's or better. Always use batteries in matched pairs - do not mix different batteries or batteries with different capacities.

As to why that happened to your first battery - it shouldn't have happened at all just by inserting it. Without seeing it I have no idea what's going on there. The black marks on the battery positive indicate some arcing happened.

Switching batteries shouldn't cause an atomizer check error - unless in the process something came loose in the RDA or tank coil you are using. If you are building your own coils give it a once over checking for a coil screw that has come loose or anything else in the build that might be creating a short.

One last thing, do you mind sending me a link where I can buy the correct batteries for my snow wolf that won't blow up haha
I get best prices on Sony VTC4's from illumn.com but they tend to be sold out ("restocking") a lot, so you could also try rtdvapor.com or liionwholesale.com, all three have good reputations around here.

Other batts to consider besides the VTC4 are the Samsung 25r's or the LG HE2's. All good 20-amp batteries, those. Should be good up to about 60 watts per battery (so you could crank 'em up to 120 watts in a 2-battery device). If you need to squeeze more than that out of them then you're looking at a 30-amp battery like the LG HB6, but the tradeoff for that extra "punch" is that they don't last as long between charges, only 1500 mAh (milliamp-hours) versus up to 2500 on some of the other ones.

Is this a joke? No, that battery is not even remotely safe. Dispose of it immediately and learn some basic battery safety before you continue to vape. What happened "couple weeks ago" sounds like a short, and venting. The "back part of the ring" is an essential piece of insulation that any battery needs intact to be used safely. You've already been seriously tempting fate by using it since then.
