For me, if I'm vaping on RBA below 1.2 ohms on a mechanical mod or vaping on a kick or a VV/VW mod using the DNA12 I'll be using the AW IMR 1600mAH battery or the MNKE 1500 or 1400 or 1300 mAh batteries. Otherwise on a Provari, Zmax, Vamo etc where I'll be vaping on atomizers above 1.2 ohms I'll use the AW IMR18650 (1600 or 2000mAh), any of the MNKE IMR18650 or Panasonic CGR18650CH's (although I haven't tried those yet but from what I hear from the users they are good). I still haven't seen any specs on the MNKE IMR18650 1300mAh batteries. I'd like to see some specs on the the Panasonic CGR18650CH if any body has come across them.

By the way, why do we look at max. continuous discharge vs. 30 sec. pulse discharge? I know my pockets prefer the continuous rating.

To tell you the truth, I don't know. For some reason I was focusing on the MCDC (max continuous discharge current). You bring up a good point and it also should be considered I think. Also I've noticed a trend that as MCDC is increased the internal resistance rating of the battery decreases. Also very interesting. The devil is in the details. I'm not a battery expert but all this is starting to interest me a lot. I'd love to hear more.

Ok enough of this. No more battery talk! BTW my 1500mah MNKEs last longer (substantially) than my 2000mah AW.

I'd be curious how you're 1500mah MNKEs last Vs the 1600mAh AW's if you have any?
I have some AW IMR18650 1600mAh and MNKE IMR18650 1300mAh but I just got them in today so I won't know how they compare for another couple days. When I do I'll let you guys know. I do know though my AW 1600mAh's last a lot longer in my kick's than the AW 2000mAh's do.

Please do report back. I think it simply has to do with how much room is in there for all those little creatures to get organized, and to flow smoothly. When I get over this overdose of battery related thinking, I might look into comparable Efest because they are gaining a good reputation but their prices are still low. I have some little Efest 18350s that I've been very happy with.

By the way, I have no 1600 AWs

I've got one that's about a year old. Still going strong.
I will say that I like my CGR batteries better. They last a bit longer.
That said I've only used them in VV devices. I am not yet in possession of anything mechanical.
I did take the plunge and got on the Precise ELA pre-order list. When it ships, I'll be buying few new batteries for sure.

So... I'm very interested to know what batteries work best in mechanicals. The MNKEs have been described as holding a good steady output with a sudden fall off... As opposed to the AWs that drop steadily. (This is only what I've read hear on the forums... Of course if I believed everything I read around here, I'd be disappointed that my Provari hasn't blown me, done my laundry or fixed me dinner.)

I have some Efest IMR18650 and they work just fine in my Zmax and Vamo. When using the Efest I have to change them out over a short period of time when using them in my GGTS with the kicks in them. They also are a little tempermental when using them in a Variable Watt mod with the DNA12 in it. I will use the AW 18650 1600 mAh with the kick and the DNA12 and with a mechanical mod with atomizers below 1.2 ohm. I'll try out the MNKE IMR 18650 1300mAh as well with those. I think it will be a couple days if not more to see how the MNKE 1300mAh compare to the AW 1600mAh. When I find out I'll let you know.
Even though the kick puts out 10watts max and the DNA12 puts out 12watts max, I think they are using much more watts to run. I do know they aren't 100% efficient so they are using more watts than they put out, that's where the AW 1600 mAh and hopefully the MNKE 1300 mAh will help make them run better and longer.

Here's a link with the Efest battery specs it's from the same main link you sent earlier in the thread:Test of Efest IMR18650 2000mAh (red)

i use 'EH' brand IMR18650 batteries in my provari. i believe the cell is made by panasonic. it seems to work great.

for my flashlight i use DarkMatter (panasonic made) 3400mAh protected in my Eagletac G25C2.

for other batteries and flashlights (i seem to have an obsession with flashlights at the moment).....
in my Fenix PD32 i use Tenergy RCR123A 900mAh.
in my Fenix E25 i use Sanyo Eneloop XX AA 2500mAh

sorry that last part was waaaay off topic. lol

So far the AW 2000mAh has lasted longer than the old trust fire 2200mAh. :D

trustfire and ultrafire (and other el cheapo chinese brands) usually over rate their batteries. true rating is usually around 1500-2000mAh. ive seen these sell for dirt cheap in hong kong.
