20700 batteries are only 2mm larger in diameter than an 18650, but 5mm longer. Most everything we have uses 18650s. I really don't want to maintain different cells for different mods. Chances are that some mods will take either size if there's spring loaded contacts. 2mm isn't much in width, but they probably won't fit standard battery sleds. Sometimes a battery overwrap makes an 18650 too tight to work in some sleds. 18650 flashlights with spring loaded contacts might be able to use them if you lose the plastic sleeve.

I've read that there's a 40% increase in available power, though.
