I've got a Silver Bullet that came with two UltraFire 18650's (2400mAh). It says they are "High rate discharge." But can I use them in my LTVV? They are a bit to long so the end cap doesn't fit all the way on.

I also have a no name brand 3000 mAh that is just a mm longer then the UltraFire but still fits in the LTVV. I got it with my Indulgence from Eastmall.

I don't mind buying new batteries for the LT but just wanted to know if my other ones will work and be safe.

One last question. What does IRM stand for or is it a company?

Thanks

Yes they will work but a bit to long not letting the cap screw in all the way however protected batteries aren't recommended. This mod uses a boost regulator to boost voltage from 1 battery. IMR or High Drain batteries have a higher current rate and are recommended for using with it. Look for AW IMR button top batteries which are some of the best around. They come in 1600mah and have just released a 2000mah version, either will work great.

Many places carry them. Supertmanufacturing, Lighthound, Provape and RTDVAPOR among others.

You should use ultra fire batteries in your Lavatube, because they are not the correct type of battery

I'm assuming you meant "should not use" based on the rest of the sentence.

Thanks for the info. Would it be okay to use the UltraFire and not go about 3.7v (or maybe 4.0)? I'm not a huge high voltage vapor. I have been known to use a LR but could turn down the voltage a bit to compensate for lower drain bats.

Yes you can use then your current batteries when you reach a point the batteries or regulator can't supply the current the regulator will roll the voltage back automatically. I wouldn't recommend LR with it as that's going to cut your voltage range alot especially with Protected batteries but it will work.

I would recommend picking up some high drains for it though that way you'll get the most out of the mod and what you're using with it.

I've heard that the 1600 and the 2000 mah IMRs are supposed to be the same size. Is this not true?

here is a visual from new Aw red 2000mah and previous version Aw red 1600 mah... it suppose to be near .07 mm difference.. but with pic you can see it, its not that much bigger...

I usually get mines from COV or Empiremods for batteries, but RTDvapor has a great promo price on these...9.95
