Popped up on my Facebook feed. It was an article about his cars, but thought it was a great pic.

1984 was an album. First cassette tape I ever bought. Yeah...now I really feel old.:(

But does that album have anything to do with the topic?
Cover art? I don't own it BTW.

Some of us have a much different connotation attached to "1984".
Even we who also know Eddie.

You could have titled the thread "EVH Vapes" and more of us would have known what the pic was.

:p

Eh, I was thinking of the book too when I saw the title. And you're not that old. Eisenhower was president when I was born. But hey, I got to watch Neil Armstrong walk on the moon...live!

Harry Truman was still in the White House when I was born. But he was already packing ...

My Dad used to tell me the story of Truman beating up the two assassins who came to his door to shoot him. Tough little dude ...

I had to watch the Apollo 11 landing looking around my Dad's great big head parked about a foot from the old Admiral black and white TV. But it was live, and amazing ...

Followed that up the next month with a trip to a little place called Woodstock ... :headbang:

I don't recall much about 1984, but summer of 1969 sure was a memorable time ... :D

1984 was my first cassette I bought and what a waste of money. They had already sold out, and don't even get me started on van-hagar. And yea 1984 was a strange year. You had your choice of Cindi lauper, Thomas dolby or the beginnings of rap.

Panama?
Hot for teacher?
Awesomely Van Halen.
It was much better than the earlier covers.

1984 there was awesome music if you knew where to listen.
Grace under pressure-Rush
Anamalize-KISS
Stoneage Romeos-Hoodoo Gurus
Born in the USA-Springsteen
Purple Rain-Prince
