1st Mech Mod problems

hi guys, so just got myself a kts+ it is my first foray into the mech mod scene and was pretty excited to get right down to it, it came bundle with an x8 cartomizer, i loaded everything up, charged my batteries and then filled up the tank, after a few drags, ive found the vapor it produces to be quite disappointing, very little vapor and almost no throat hit.. out of frustration, i switched out the tank and went back to my vivi nova and its performing and producing well, nice vapor and also throat hit.

is there a reason it's doing this?, am i doing something wrong?, its also my first try with a carto so im not really sure how it's supposed to perform..

any help?

You are not the only one. I too encounter and ever since I leave the carto aside. Have been using vivi nova, cobra, agat2 and dripper seems good for me.

I have one X8 without carto also left on my desk growing dust ha ha!

after fill the carto with juice. u need to put it aside for a while to let the juice so-called mix well in the carto.

I did set it and do not over filled the carto. For my first tank X8 vape till empty tank. I refill again and guess what the carto automatically get flooded and I vape with juices. I tried replace new carto and similar result. It might be a clone and poor quality

How did you refill your carto?

Followed some videos on youtube, basically all i did was just fill it from the top hole, then took a few puffs, got a burnt taste so i looked up more videos and noticed some users priming it by dripping some liquid into the cotton underneath the drip tip..

Took some puffs after, got some vapor, but very little, gave it a few minutes, and then took some more puffs which didn't produce any vapor at all.

Did i do anything wrong?, its my first time using a carto, so don't really know what to do and what not to do..

Thank goodness my vivi's are still working, gotta change the heads though, 2.8 not really cutting it. :/

See that you also own a X8. Ha ha both our X8 became a white elephant. Dont know if we done it wrongly or we have gotten a clone one

The best way to refill your carto, is to insert it into the tank, fill up the tank and start suck on your carto until you either hear a gurgling sound, taste juice or just check to see it's all soaked.

Whatever you are doing is not soaking up the whole carto.

Have a strong feeling we're doing it wrong, yeah true, its basically a "white elephant", but i still dont want to give up on it though!

Oh wait a minute. Now that I'm home and read your thread again, i suddenly realized you are using a mech mod.

I suppose you are using it without a kick? I've never bought the x8, but if the carto it comes with is a dual coil, there may not be enough wattage to really power it up.

I'll suggest check the resistance of the carto. I only use cartos on my provari and it's always at >4.5 volts for a 1.5ohm dual coil.

I dont think it has anything to do with the power output, used it on my mvp to confirm if it was power issues, nothing much happened too..

Yes it is a good mod, can reduce it length for smaller 18350 batt. It has been my daily outdoor use as it is light weight and not prone to scratches when inside our pockets with keys and stuff

I've not tried on my SVD, maybe i should wash it and give it another try!
