I think he wants the analog meter for the looks, but that one is quite large, especially the back protrusions. I have a Sperry analog pocket multimeter that is about half the size of a cheapo DMM, and the guage is about 1/3 of the case it is in. I imagine if it were stripped down and just the voltage circuit used it would be quite a bit smaller than that ebay gauge. Not as small as slimest's indicator though, and not as small as the 1s-6s many use.

Now that is one I could work with, is it rather long in the back there? We really haven't got any Russian trinkets left around here oddly. I was in an industrial gauge and switch supply a while back, but they only had massive sizes of both and laughed at my chances of getting an Omron micro switch, the reason I was there. :)

If it is just for looks, there are fire extinguisher pressure gauges ~20mm diameter.

The Russian one could easily be fitted but realistically i have put this idea on hold, while i learn i bit more about electronics, i could probably Jerry rig it all together without any knowledge but i would most likely blow something, so in the mean time i got a electronics book for learning by experience, by Make and the companion pack at radio shack (yes i know i got ripped off but wanted to get started and not wait for everything to ship) would have cost me ~175 but got the book free.... still got ripped off.., oh and the crappy radio shack brand multimeter needs a "12v Battery" seriously that's all it says so im going back tomorrow and making them bring me all there 12v batts just to make a point
