Some suggestions I've seen are:

Look at the wicks where they enter the ceramic cup. Are they smashed from assembly? Fluff 'em up with some needlenose tweezers.

Cut the loops in the wicks and fray the ends a bit to help with wicking.

USPS says my eGo and Clearomizers from madvapes are coming tommorrow, so I'm keen to see what my experience with them will be.

I bought some regular clearomizers from gotvapes.com, I have had trouble filling them with the needle but thats just me. 3 different ones and no burnt taste great flavor (all from pinkspot.com) and great massive vapor. these are 2.6-2.8 ohm 510. Haven't tried the xl's yet, maybe let them wick or flip it upside down for a second to ensure full wicking will help. good luck!

I find if you are using the 2.4 - 2.6ohm on a Riva or eGo type battery, or just regular batteries for that matter, they are like LR, if you use them on a true 3.7v devise they tend to be to hot and you get the burnt taste. I just got the 2.8 - 3.0ohm and am using them on my 3.7v P16 and they are sooooooo nice! I do have a review video that you can go take a look at, just click the link in my signature. There are some other great review videos for these out there too, just search for them on youtube. They are really pretty simple to use in my opinion, east to clean and re-use and all that kind of stuff. I hope this helps you out a lil bit.
