krysti,

Thanks for sharing your loss and all of the information that you have. It's helpful to those of us who are concerned about being good stewards of our pets. Please don't waste your time responding to or caring about what those such as zanedog post. I get the feeling from his posts he's too young to even buy vaping gear or juice. Empathy and compassion are gained through insight and self awareness. Children aren't capable of that. Even those who are not chronologically children any more. Keep posting your findings and let us know when you have some new kitties to care for. That, and you continuing to vape, will be a good ending to this.

ask the mods to delete this stupid post is all i can suggest.
Update it all you want, its still sensationalism and it's been in the top all the time.
if you are not a shill for BT, you will ask mods to delete this thread.
sorry about your luck with your cats, but it had nothing to do with vaping, so why is this thread here?

Hey genius, you do know that by you continuing to post here, it's kept at the top don't you? I'm sure there's a topic you approve of where you can share your brilliance and move it above this one.

I am sorry to hear about your cats. I am glad that you posted this, not because I believe that vaping had anything to do with their death but because no one 100% knows the long term effects and if others have had this happen, as it turns out no one here has, so there must be another reason. I would try to find out just for your own health as to why 2 cats died the same way and close together is a cause for concern.

@Krysti Just wanted to post that I am so very sorry for your loss. Stay strong and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

@Zanedog Have some compassion. Your posts are just mean hearted. Stop for a second and realize this women has lost 2 members of her family. I have one of my cats laying next to me right now and to think about losing him let alone 2 is just awful. She was posting to try to help get answers and from what I've read she never once said it was caused by vaping period. I know that if I was in the same situation vaping would be one of the many things that would go through my head as a cause. Obviously it's not caused by vaping but I find it perfectly acceptable to post here and try to find help.

no, just read first page and last page like many do.

vaping never killed anything and the vaping killed my cats headline is sily lol

I don't really care what is in this thread, but to insinuate that a cats health is compromised by a vaping that to me is sensationalism like what hits the papers and underscores what the true benefits are.

this post has been on the front page for some reason since i've been here for the last week, and it just reeks of big advertising.

Did you ever consider reading the entire thread before writing in it it even a few pages back?

The title said the cats died of chemical inhalation, not vaping. Again, after everything that has happened and all the research I have done, it is glaringly apparent it was not due to vaping. I updated the initial post for people like you who only read that. I would update it again to include my doctor also said it was not due to vaping if I could. If you want to do something useful, why not find out how I can edit my original post so I can add that piece of information.

You can try PM'ing a mod if you want to update the original post.

lol, my cat likes my vape, what are you saying, you killed your cats with vapor? I don't even understand your post at all...

Vaping never killed a cat, if you feel otherwise, please show some proof instead of posting like an idiot and telling me I am burying my head in the sand.

Vaping never killed a cat, and that is that.

For this thread to stay on top is a disservice. LOL, my cat actually likes the vape.

You big tobacco shills should go elsewhere, if you do not wish to live with morals posts, and only wish to post of what you are paid to post, please start your own forum.

Before commenting you should read the whole thread. It began with vapor being suspect but Krysti has shifted her conclusions on the cause to other chemicals.

Well there's your problem--maybe you shouldn't do that anymore.

And now that you've been told that your original assumption about her post was wrong, why don't you accept that and move on? The OP has had a terrible experience and is still trying to process her grief.

Stop being a troll or find other threads to bother.

Good Day!

Truthfully, I've had to bite my tongue on this thread also. I can see both sides and am making no judgments either way. Part of the grief process or a phase of it is looking for someone or something to blame. Once something is found that works during that phase, it will be held on to tenaciously in the face of reason. I say this because of some of the OP comments on what has been deeply and well researched being questionable. I keep reminding myself that most everything here is anecdotal and leave it at that. I most certainly do understand how some of the animal lovers reading have found it unsettling to say the least reading much of this thread. Frankly, I've been a member here for over a year and visit pretty much daily. This is the most upsetting, disturbing, thread I've ever read at ECF. I even had trouble getting to sleep one night and decided to just not look at anymore of it. It popped up in "My Posts" again today so broke my rule. In the end, there are more than two sides to every story. My heart goes out to not only the OP but to pet lovers wading through this thread. My advice is to leave it behind, do your own research and leave it at that.

Losing something and searching for the answers is hard, let's remember a little compassion....

Moderators should delete this incitful post, no one reads past the initial dumbness.

Vaping never killed a cat. If anything, birds would be sensitive. For this post to remain on top does a dis service to the community.

lol, the mods are quick to warn about lesser things, perhaps the retired ones should pay attention to real issues.

I just revisited this post after the initial first responses. With all the hits, I expected to see many critically defending their rights against posts of this nature. Happy to find that wasn't the case. Making hasty judgments and defending vaping with abusive remarks is the "disservice to the community". Also happy to find the moderators paying attention to the "real issues". Sorry about your loss Krysti
