2 more n00b questions for the diyers

I just got some ingredients to start mixing and I'm working with no nic full vg atm and some loranns i scored from wal mart. Tonight I tried grape & pina colada. I went for 20% flavor on both mixtures and the flavor is there but weak. Also using 20% & 10% water to thin out the vg

My questions are:
Will the nic GREATLY increase the "pop" of the flavor?

Can I use cheap vodka to thin the vg?

I made 2 very small batches tried them out and figured I would let them sit atleast a night to see if anything changes.

They get much better after sitting a couple days. Some use vodka, I just use water.

Good nic will have no effect on flavor. Provided the flavoring percentage stays the same.

Cheap vodka is fine.

Throw the mixed bottle in a bath of very hot water. Shake it a few times after it gets good and warm then let it cool. That will accelerate the process that brings flavors out after sitting a few days.

Thats good cause thats what I got. I stopped drinking vodka in after college and I dont see wasting my crown so the cheap vodka it is. I'll try the hot water bath when I make some more test batches tommorow morning thanks for the info.
