Hey everyone,
I put together a Excel spreadsheet to show my friends the cost savings of eCigs vs Cigs. Sway them with the big $$ savings and bring them to our side!

You can change the cost per carton and how many cigs a day a person smokes to tailor it to them.

Here is a screenie:

Hope this helps in opening someones eyes!

That's good. You might figure out what the equivalent is for the amount of tax on a carton of cigs that would be if applied to ejuice. Because if they don't ban them, that is what will happen long before your 20 years is up and that will cut into the savings. The health argument might be a better way to go :)

I'm not so sure that my comparison would sway anyone. At this rate I won't break even until......well, at this rate it ain't gonna happen.

Not that I am complaining - I could vape for cheap except that I am a doomsday kinda girl. I order something every week - juice, attys, batteries, cases.......

The $ savings is not my concern at this point - I have a little extra money here and there and as my husband says "you sure believe in circulating". I'm just trying to do my part. haha.

At least maybe we will be around long enough to have a 20 year comparison.

With the rate of inflation I would only be guessing :) But I agree if not banned, they will want their piece of the pie!

I'm wondering where you got you "cost of vaporizer" numbers?

I ordered a 5 pack from China and with shipping they were 8.00 a piece.

Ok I was going after the average Joe or Joett :) Yes I am in the same boat as you LOL Initially it was a factor that pushed me to ecigs.

I'll save $72792.80.

But then again, I make my own liquid,
and I was smoking three to four packs a day.

Nice chart. Thanks.

Holy Hannable! Thanks for sharing, I too make my own ejuice, These figures were ball park at the time of its inception. And they can be changed around. I figured the atty would need to be replaced on an average of every other month so I figured them in. I also went on an average cost of 30ml which is what I use a month. Now that I make my own ejuice I only spend 2.42 cents per 10ml.

If nothing else it is nice to see what you could be saving/spending in the long run. Heck in some places $72792.80 is a house!

Thanks for all the comments!

What about tax loss?

Again with inflation and the ever changing taxes it is hard to say what they would be, I would only be guessing. in 1982 I was buying cartons of Marboros for 5.00, so in 27 years they have gone up roughly 800%, so 40 * 800% = $320.00 a carton in 27 more years if the pattern stays the same 8-o

Hey if you want to add it in feel free :p
Dan

Added:
I guess I could add in the national average of 10.10% for tax, but that will fluctuate in 20 years.
