So, in the first 10 hours of today, I've drained two eGo twists one 1100 and one 1000. Is this too much? I was a pack and a half a day smoker for years, but in recent months was up to two a day. Started with e-cigs exactly three weeks ago and love it, but maybe I love it too much. I'm mainly using 18mg juice, and when my DIY supplies get here, I plan to initially mix in the 12-13% range. I really don't know if I'm vaping so much because I crave the nicotine, or because I now crave the flavor and experience of vaping. Your thoughts?

Nothing wrong with that rate.
I started out at 24 mg and vaped like mad to get off the analogs and then my rate of vaping increased so I dropped to 18 mg so I could vape more but get less. So you are doing great at 18 mg having smoked as much as you did. I was a PAD on average user for 25 years, but managed to cut down to 1/2 a PAD just prior to making the switch.
Also I found that I had to vape a bit more often to get the same fix shall we say; and later learned it was probably due to the absorption rate and differences with nic in vapor vs smoke. The way I came to think of it is that vaping is a different beast alltogether and as long as you find what works for you, you are in a good place.
You'll find that battery life can be directly affected by the devices you are using and the current draw based on what you got screwed on. Also, affecting factors are whether you are using regulated, non-regulated, variable voltage or wattage, etc.
I can burn through a 2000 mAh battery in 9-10 hrs, and a 1100 mAh in about 6 hrs, and a 700 mAh battery in 3 hrs when using rba's or atties at high wattage. About 4ml, 2.8ml, and 1.5ml of juice vaporized respectively.
I can also make that same 2000 mAh battery last 1.7 days (with about 5 hrs sleep time), the 1100 last around 17-18 hrs, and the 700 last around 15 hrs when used with a high resistance cartomizer. About 4.2ml, 3ml, and 2ml of juice vaporized respectively.
Over my almost full year of vaping, I've been down to only vaping 2 ml a day, and up as high as 5 ml a day (maybe a bit more, stopped tracking). It ebbs and flows much more so than my old habit. I think I vape still because I still do need the nic, but also because I enjoy it so much as well.
Although, I can leave the house in a rush and forget to take a pv with me and be fine for a few hours without breaking a sweat. In the old days I'd would have diverted to a gas station as soon as I realized I left em old stinkies behind.
Hope me spilling my thoughts helps someone out there, as I know we are all different and have our own unique experience with vaping.
Edit: For those of you who wanted to know wattage ranges. Typically I vape at 10-12 watts on the rba/dripping atties, and 7 watts on the cartos. For resistance # fans, the rba's are at 1.3 ohms, atties vary from 2-3 ohms, and the cartos are at 3 ohms. For those who like voltage #s, rba's are at 4 volts, atties are at 5-5.5 volts, and cartos are at 4.5-4.7 volts. Think I've just about covered everyone there.
