Are the 2500 mah batteries for the provari IMR or protected batteries ? They say they are a bit longer than the other 18650 batteries .

They are protected batteries. With the 2500mAh 18650's, the capacity, and max output, is great enough that high drain is not a requirement.

What about Collector's Edition ProVari End Caps for the extended end caps I would like to see them someday too .
