So I've been wanting to try the Petar K coiling method for a while and I just re-wrapped my DID and Chobra using an allen wrench that fit each. This should be a requirement for any new (or seasoned like me) genny user. I cant believe how quick and easy, and flawless it works. Literally 0 adjustment needed. I took 2 wicks out that have at least 2 months on each, hit them with a lighter, tightened one and loosened the other just a hair so they snugged up to the new coils. Amazing results. If you have not tried this do yourself a favor the next time you re-coil a genny and find something like a drill bit or allen key that fits the hole, and wrap your coil around that as tight as possible before inserting the wick.

+1!! Using a drill bit is the only way I can get good, evenly spaced higher Ω coils with the 28ga.

Laffin .... Yeah, I kinda screwed that thing up yesterday,
Still feel bad about that

No, I just cleaned out my temp files & history. So was resetting the time stamp for ECF.

That was more funny than a screw up...
So now I'm gonna have to look into this timestamp thing. I C Clean my PC every week or so, but I have never heard of resetting the timestamp.

I'm not certain it changed my pre-set time for the ECF. Something didn't seen right, so I went into ECF settings and made sure things were set to my GMT.
The time stamp I'm referring to is at the top of each post.
I cleared/cleaned most everything.
Yesterday was an odd day for me, so I was double checking. :D

Kwalka, thanks again ever so much for doing this. I am probably the last one to get their's but today was my day and I haven't even opened the envelope to start winding yet. Also, the extra 50' of 30G is like a dream come true. :)

Cheers, and enjoy the holidays!

You are not last. I received the 28 ages ago but still waiting for the 30 :)

One of our Canadian friends shipped (28) on the 11th, and as of the end of last week still didn't have it. I've had packages seemingly bypass customs all together, and I've had them sit there for over a month. I got a mod from Serbia and it took almost 9 weeks once it shipped.

You never know with the postal services. I received packages within 5 days and others took 5 weeks. There is only one solution. Get used to the waiting :)

Still have 30 ga wire left boys and girls. I think it's safe at this point to put the last 300' of 28 ga up for grabs also, if anybody happens to be running a puppy mill and needs to build their own cages. Chicken coop maybe?

$2.15 US members, $3.50 rest of the world. PM for info if interested

It has been brought to my attention that one of you had to go to the Post Office and pay for the wire because the label I printed was not valid. I had a printer issue at one point and a few labels got printed twice, and some had to be cancelled and re-done. I double checked all delivery confirmation numbers of the doubles to be sure the ones I cancelled didn't get used.

If anybody had to pay for their wire please PM me so I can refund your shipping money.

Also

Do not send any more money without PMing first. I have to process what I have on hand to assure I have enough left to keep filling orders.

If you've paid up to this point you will for sure get wire, and I will have some left after I fill these orders. i just don't want to go over.

Thanks,

Ken
