After about two months of waiting for it to arrive here at my deployed location, I finally had a chance to try it out. (theres nothing like receiving a care package while deployed, its like Christmas as a kid! But when it has new vape gear inside..its even more exciting)
First off the quality/ fit/finish is amazing. I'd say its a few levels above the ERA.
I ordered the MB 510-510 adapter because I wasnt sure if it needed it. Turns out, it wasnt needed for my VVG. The adapter itself is verv nicely made and has as turnable "sleeve" to take up any extra space.
Ive always used Super T drip tips and found they fit very tight on the Chalice, I never have to worry about accidentally pulling it off.
The coil set screws are a unique design and are not readily available. The good part is you dont need any tools to use them. I just use my finger nail to tighten them down. Nail biters may have an issue here.
I have a huge pet peeve with leaks. The Chalice itself doesnt leak, but....if you leave it tilted toward the air hole too long you will get a small amount of leakage through the air hole, again a SMALL amount.
Another thing I noticed is once you unscrew the Chalice to expose the coil, screwing it back on will leave a ring of juice around the outside. Its not that much, but enough to notice.
Performance is good so far. Its impossible to flood since it automatically sucks any extra juice back into the bottle, leaving just the right amount on the wick/coil. But I have noticed a downside to this great attribute, over time, the juice in the bottle will start to get contaminated with the juice from the coil, turning your juice dark. I only noticed this when I have less than 1ml left.
This is what Ive noticed so far. Im still working on building the perfect coil, but so far, the Chalice is here to stay.
