lol Canoeist. But hey, whenever you start feeling at the bottom of the totem pole, just think of little ol me who doesn't yet have one. :)

@MLinky Oh I luv ya already, a horseperson and a Reo owner. Doubly good vibes.
The last storm of the spring season brought with it a huge thunderstorm that hit right over the shelter. The 2 four year old paints jammed my old Arab gal smack into the supporting post. She ended up with muscle atrophy... couldn't walk or lay down for a long time. Just when she was improving, after a few months, BOOM! the 4 yr olds twirled her around while playing and she fell back to step one. But, long story short, she's all better now and even books it with the 4 yr olds again. :) I couldn't leave the ol homestead for fear of the predators (who are keen on helplessness) and we don't have a lock up stall as of yet.
Now tell me about your horse! What kind, how old, which discipline(s), etc?

OMG, I'm so glad she's OK. 4 year olds can be SUCH babies. I have only one horse right now, Shaquille. He's a 17 hand saddlebred. I've had him since he was weaned. Although he's a pretty fancy show horse, he's also the happiest horse and best boy in the world. REOs totally rock around the barn. Rob added a lanyard ring to one of my Minis for trail riding. Works great. :)

Such big family members aren't they! I've had my mare since she turned 1 yr old and she's now in her mid 20's. She's one of my kids. She stands 16 hands without shoes. :) Your big guy would make her look like a Shetland lol.

Oh now a Lanyard would be sweet! Right now I couldn't live without my eGo inside it's lanyard. My Copper Q sits inside a cell phone case clipped to my jean vest pocket. If I get a mini instead of a Grand I'll have to check into that. (or will the Grand work too?) Thanks for the tip!

Here's a pic...with a carto, there's no juice anywhere to pick up dirt; just a perfect barn buddy. IMG_0595.jpg

Oh, and this is Shaquille: 21_Ashley_Rose-193x250-2.jpg

@Jen ..Hubby tried hard to get me a purple grand for our anniversary last spring, but life got in the way. Thanks for the good luck wishes, I need it!

@MLinky: The Reo hangs nice and looks easy enough to tuck inside shirt for hay tossing and other fun endeavors.
Dang, Shaq is gorgeous!!! I wish I had a good pic of my mare.... when she was younger she was the spittin image of her grandpa "Ibn Sheik Halima"... now she's old and gray (white) like me. :)

well I don't know diddley about horses except they eat alot lol. But my husband knew the Arab name you mention when he saw it. He used to own a discovery farm in brooksville, fl. He had 12 arabs when I met him. Him and his kids mother use to breed arabs.

Thanks! I'll tell my mare what you both said about her heritage.
She has Fadjur on her Dam's side. yaddayadda
It was my dream to raise horses but now that I'm older I'm happy just feeding these beautiful lawn ornaments. She's happy too as long as I bring my vape out. Crazy horse thinks I'm an air freshener now, just wait til I get my Reo!

Reos are like Lays, you can't have just one. I think that as well made as they are, there shouldn't be much concern over getting them fixed as they rarely break. I have two Grands I need to send in but I think they just need replacement springs. I am not mechanically inclined and would rather have it done correctly.

Bummers. The Grand I had set to buy in the classifieds is a no go. The buyer cancelled the add, saying he has a friend to sell it to. It was pretty scruffy anyway, but hey, it was a Grand! I was gonna call it "Ruffian". But not to worry! There'll be a better one around the corner eventually and maybe I'll get to call it "Fancy" or something.

There's lots of mini's coming and going... but naturally my heart is set on a Grand. (live off grid and will need those extra long life batteries in the winter time).

Oh no that's terrible. She's lucky to have a great mom like you and I'm happy to hear she's doing well now.

I am only one of many that can vouch for the work Rob does and his commitment to the REO's he makes. Even one of the oldest Wood REO's bought from another owner and sent to Rob was met with his attention to detail. These forever wear his name and he only wants us to have the best!
Out of 15 REO's that I own only 4 were purchased new.
Yes, they are that good, and yes, they always will be!

I only mention the number of REO's I own to show the correlation between new and used. Not going for a record, just quality REO's.

WOW i think I count at least 30 in your avi now thats twice as many Reos in less than 6 months i do believe you hold a few Reo records:)
