How do you manage to do that?
Well she still works full time, and has plenty of other distractions. When she see's some blog or site reference Pinterest she ask my father or I about, and we throw a lot of hot air in her direction.
My mother thinks she is very arts n craftsy.... and actually can be..... but she has this very nasty habit of starting things and projects that look cool, and then never completing them.
As my dad was saying to me a few weeks ago, "when you mother is forced to retire in a few more years, maybe then... and under strict supervision, we might let her learn about the "good" things of Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter".
all caught up through last nights whirlwind of innuendo and bacon wielding pugs.
I figured we needed some theme music for the last 90 to 95 post....

my disconnect from my own emotional awareness has allowed me untold freedom in toying with the feelings of others. like a marionette, except my strings are prose, my stage is the internet, and the curtains are velour. mmmm, velour.

LOL .... no she is not, not at all.
Now... my 91 year old grandmother who learned CSS and HTML so she could fancy up her profile on a site, that blew our minds. Considering only a couple years before we had to basically smack her around with frozen trouts till she agreed to let us get her a computer so she could keep up with her far flung family digitally. Cause we were tired of hearing from her, "no one sends me pictures anymore, I am so out of the loop on things"
For a woman, who barely finished high school, showed no technical inclination or desire to such all her years as a very sterotypical midwestern stay at home mother, it was a huge shock. When she called my cousin up one day, and asked him, "I need to find a company that will give me a cheap apache server, that wont rake me over the coals about bandwidth".
