There have been other posts where people who have gone out drinking tend to feel they don't get as good a hit off their ecig/pv/apv as they normaly do. As recommended in earlier post getting a higher nicotine is an option as well as getting higher pg for flavor, both will give you a satisfying throat hit. A better delivery device can do the same as well. Keep up the good fight and you'll achieve success. Good luck and Happy Vaping :vapor:

When I first started vaping, I was still smoking at least a pack per day. There were days where I would vape and smoke at the same time. I did not officially quit until last week, and I lighted one the other day just to say goodbye. I could not finish it though, so I have had exactly four draws in over a week. It took getting a decent battery and switching to e-juice instead of pre-filled cartridges. Now I feel much better and am no longer tempted by that half pack sitting on my desk.

Don't beat yourself up if it happens. Take it a day at a time and it will all work out. Best of luck!

Yep, certainly noticed that myself, last night. The high nic juice will be here Monday. Cheers.

Hang in there!

Just my opinion and my experience here but I didn't quit smoking, smoking quit me. I bought my first ecig kit to check it out and I ended up liking it and then bought more stuff etc, but I wasn't quitting smoking. But what happened was that I did quit smoking analogs. For me I just tended to vape more and smoke less and I just stopped analogs all together. This happened over a couple weeks of time but I migrated as I call it.

Now I'm doing the same thing again. Lesson learned and here's the important part. Always have a backup. Backup hardware, atty, juice everything. I used to travel a lot for work and I was on the go a lot. Well I ran out of juice and fell back to cigs. Well I've learned that lesson, but now I'm starting over after about a year of smoking again.

I migrated once and will again and you can too! Just don't lock yourself into the "I'm can't smoke" and let yourself migrate naturally. And as others have said get some high octane juice!

I was the worst kind of smoker there was. It ruled everything I did. I avoided situations that wouldn't allow me to smoke, woke up in the middle of the right to smoke. Just awful.
As of yet, I'm 4 months free of analogs. Soon as I got an ecig I never looked back.
Now I'm happy happy happy to go anywhere and Vape in the bathroom if necessary lol cheers hope u were able to stick with it. Ecigs do take 6 minutes or so to delivery the nicotine so you won't always get that instant buzz but be patient it will come!

I smoked a pack a day for almost 16 years and am now 2 weeks to the day without a cigarette. The first 4 days were the worst for me and from then on it has been so much easier. You are almost there man, just keep telling yourself that. Only 2 weeks in and it no longer bothers me at all to be in the same room with someone smoking a cigarette, as long as I have my vape handy of course.

Hey thanks again everyone for the words of encouragement and the great advice.

I have ordered a backup - hoping it will a cool device for travelling with - out and about etc. So it's much smaller than the Tesla. And of course, it's my backup - good thinking, good advice - cheers for that.

*And*, I found my last order included a whopping big 100ml of 24mg nic (just noticed yesterday when I read the invoice, LOL. So been vaping that a bit. Nice!

So I've survived my stress... now 4 days and 19hrs - feeling good about it too.

Thank you all again so much.

Cheers, Duncan.

I gradually reduced the amount I smoked. By about 1 month I'd smoke one a day- never 'my' brand though. Had a few puffs and put it out, maybe another puff later in the day. They just tasted so bad, I just stuck to vaping.

I had high nicotine for super cravings. They usually go away in about 15 min.

In case yer wondering, this is my backup solution (hope it's not advertising)...
Innokin iTaste VV V3.0 - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes
Comes with
•1 iTaste VV 800mAh battery
•1 iTaste USB retractable cable
•1 USB A/C power charger adapter
•Instruction manual
•5 iClear16 dual coil clearomizers
•1 free 15ml bottle of eliquid (your choice)

Seems like a good deal for 50 bucks. Dual coil clearomisers should whack out the vape. Have to say though, the Tesla with the big 18650 batteries, have never let me down - forgot to change the battery yesterday, vaping the hell out of it, and still lasted for pretty much two days.

The other thing I've worked out, is that other peoples idea of a nice flavour, definately isn't necessarily mine! :) I guess one just keeps trying, keeps sampling. Definately gonna try and get some Bobbas County (although funnily enough, none of the tobacco flavours have done much for me - I anticipated that that's what I'd need, to replace cigs - but for me anyway, I'm preferring the fruit flavours straight off). Also gonna try and get some of this much vaunted and talked of Radiator Pluid - I'm on the mailing list! :) ).

If you like fruity juices, then look at Nicoticket and Ahlusion.us as well as Alice in Vapeland (AiV is only open 1 day a week tho, so its a pain sometimes to get an order in, but they have really cool packages).

Im vaping Altered State from Nicoticket now, spiked with a lil 18mg Lemon Loves Cake from AiV, and in my other tank is some Custard's Last Stand by itself..12mg.

I really need more tanks....now, about those doughnuts..

I used to be 1PAD smoker for about 20 years... or 50g tobacco every 5-6 days in the last couple of years. Any time I even thought of quitting, i would start smoking more. When I discovered e-cigs (thanks to my non-smoking wife) two things really helped me not want the analogues - thinking of how much money was being saved and rather than "quitting smoking" I was just changing the thing i was "smoking"...
Has now been 60 days since I had my last cigarette!!

Stick with it Moralfibre!! :)

Yep, doing my best to think like that. I've swapped! :) I like that. Doing OK tonight, smashed some 24mg nic vape - just changed back to the 16 (feeling a little sick LOL - little too much nic). But going well. And no drinking tonight :)
Great to hear you've done 60 days - I'm catching up :) I hope it will be considerably easier after 60 days!
