Dario,

You could easily go back to what you were doing before trying vaping, but you're here on ECF I assume to give things a try. I recommend that you read the reviews, do your homework, read about good vendors, and reduce your chances for wasting your money.

Speaking of money, I spend much less vaping than I did smoking, and I sure do feel better. Once you get something that you're relatively happy with, you can actually spend much less money vaping and maybe save your life in the bargain. Many people like different brands and juices, so that's a matter of personal preference. As a result, nobody can tell you what you'll like. You can narrow down the choices by reading reviews of happy customers, and that's what I suggest you do. Lots of folks have spent considerable time and effort to post threads designed to help others, and you can read all of them FREE.

I am almost at a year of vaping. It was tough at first, I had a DOA atomizer with my first purchase.
But I would like to commend the ECF members. Any question I ever asked has been answered. People here have been very helpful if you only ask. What works for one, may not work for another. The person who works with me loves dripping, so that is how I started. I found I prefer cartomizers and bottom feed mods. To each his own. I don't know where I would be without this forum. Probably back on analogs. Why don't you give us another chance?

This is all very good info. I found the Illustrated guide 1-6 most helpful. And I tried about 30 different flavors before I hit a couple I love, all from BWB. The ones I didn't care for I either foisted on the husband, or found a couple of people here who were running short and could use the ones I didn't want.

It's not an easy thing to learn, and there is a lot of info to digest, but I hope you can overcome your rocky start and stick with it.
It's a great community, and I'd have been lost without it.

I appreciate the replies.

I am not mad and I don't have issues with ECF. None whatsoever. I just wanted to share my feelings.

I said I was quitting ecigs, I am not going back to dipping snuff and I do not smoke nor smoked before I switched to ecigs.

My issue is I cannot afford the juice and carts. Sure, there are options and alternatives but what I've seen may work for some others but it doesn't work for me. Finding a solution is difficult and ultimately my responsibility.

I can't sit here and make posts. I have twins who are home schooled (by me full time) and in a costly private virtual school year round. We are widowed since 2003. It's just me folks, no help what so ever. For some reason when I tell people that they automatically think I'm a woman. Don't be that person. Anyway, it's not an excuse for anything. I just want people to know where my priorities are.

I would LOVE a good ejuice but the search for the right one is expensive and lengthy. I did mention I use Halo Torque 56. I haven't seen any complaints about that. But it still doesn't change the fact that my issue stems from a $60 a month juice bill. Just because analogs are priced unfathomably high doesn't make $60 a month a better alternative. "Hey, here's a nice used car. A Chevy Chevette. Sticker price is $150,000. But if that's too high I have a Chrysler Cordoba for $50,000."

I'd rather stick to a horse.

I thought I made it clear when I said I was quitting. Quitting is quitting. Do I need to explain this? Again, I am not planning on doing anything. I just cant justify the expenses. Like I said, these expenses were unknown until I actually had consistency with the activity of vaping. That's when I realized this is too expensive.

I am very aware of the topics here and the help forum. I do appreciate ECF and I wouldn't be here if I didn't. What I'm talking about here, with ECF, and what's wrong is the "Pareto Principle". I just don't want to partake in this activity. I never meant to offend anyone.

Dario, you are an unusual case. Most of us here would die (literally) without e-cigs because we'd go back to our coffin nails and smokers lungs.

If you can not smoke and not vape and not dip.... more power to you! If I had that choice I wouldn't be messing around with all this e-cig nonsense either. But it's not an option for most of us.

Good luck to you. :)

Dario, I get everything you're saying. Yes, I really do.

I no longer smoke. Now I have a very expensive hobby called vaping.

The weird part about e-cigs is that the whole experience is different for everyone. It's not like buying a pack of Salems or a can of Copenhagen and everyone feels a similar level of satisfaction, no, this is much different. It's an individual journey that usually entails a large amount of frustration and expense. No one here signed up for that but it is what it is...

You tried, Dario, and e-cigs just didn't work for you and your situation in life. I admire your honesty and wish you good luck. Stay alive for those kiddies... they need you.

If you quit everything delete this forum out of your favorites and move on. Why are you sitting here complaining about how much e-juice costs "if" you can quit every type of dipping, smoking and vaping? Just log-off this site and never return, problem solved.

But don't get on here and try to tell others how bad this is and how bad that is. A lot of people including myself have found this site and its members to be nothing but a savior, so once again just log-off and forget about us.

This really is getting expensive but I look at it like finding the right cig or dip or whatever. I started out with a 510 kit and then the ego-t and now am on an echo. This all since March 30th. That with all the juice I have tried does add up. I think that it also becomes a hobby. I love things for awhile and then start not loving them so much because they are to much work. I love the Echo but the cartos are expensive and only last me a couple days. Tried cleaning today and not working so well. Still love them though. I know that I am looking for something easy, works and is cheep but then again who isn't. If you don't want to keep trying don't but don't rain on everyones parade.

I appreciate your honesty Dario. I think this post will be helpful to others even if you quit. If you were spending 30 a month on dip, you're definatly going to spend more on ecigs. I spent a lot of money (I'm 2 months in now) and I'm around 500 bucks easily. I don't think people realize this when they start vaping. But cigarette smokers spend that anyhow (or close to it).. I was going through a carton every week at 50 bucks.. My complaints? I've bought some bad juice.. A lot of it.. But I did find 4-5 that are sooooo good.. Another, I bought a mod (Sparkplug kit), terrible product, collecting dust.. Finally I got ego batteries, LR 1.5 attys (that I debridged) and drip tips with killer juice.. I'm in heaven now..

My health is amazingly better and I thank ECF for the wealth of knowledge I've gotten from here, I take it all with a grain of salt.

My suggestion to you is to find your juice, in fact I'll go out on a limb right now for ya.. Order a bottle of Boba's bounty, if you don't like it I'll buy it off you for 5 dollars more than what you pay for it.. I have all the Halo juices you seem to tolerate (I don't think you love them), and none of them come close to the pleasure I get (and many others) from Bobas..

I'm thinking one 5v GLV-2, a handful of Boge cartos, and the realization that tobacco is for smoking and flavors are for vaping would have yielded a much more positive experience for much less money.

Unless you end up collecting GLVs like baseball cards.

60ml of TopVapor Fried Apple: $14.19
30ml of Ms. T's Strawbery Lemonade: $21.00
20 Boge cartos LR or SR: $29.80
1 5v GLV-2: $110.00
Vaping as a reduced harm lifestyle and all the friends that come with it: PRICELESS!

I love my healthier lifestyle and every hard-earned dollar I invest in it.
