It's hard to believe it's only been 3 months but I really wish I would have found this forum back when I actually started.
A friend of mine had ordered the eGo T tank system (type B). I tried theirs (I liked it) so I started doing more research on it and found that "it was a great beginners kit". I'm a beginner
so I ordered it... 2 days later my friends are telling me about how bad theirs are leaking. (I did not find anything about leaking prior to ordering, maybe I was just not looking hard enough?) I did some more research and found tank caps (ordered immediately even though I didn't have my new kit yet) I was determined to quit so I also ordered extra tanks (just in case). At that time I was working. I work heavy construction so long periods of time with no work. Kit came in just in time for the weekend. I set it all up and started vaping - I still wanted a cigarette - I just told myself NO! About 3 days later I REALLY WANTED ONE. So I decided to try a regular cig took 3 drags and realized that I didn't really want it! I get 2 set up and ready to go to work on monday (my boyfriend is also starting this kit at the same time). One of his was leaking just sitting on the table but we know there are issues and we are just waiting for the tank caps. By tuesday all 4 are leaking. It was to the point that I kept them upside down or I knew I would be wearing the juice (and sometimes I was anyways!) I get in the tank caps in time for the weekend. Get everything together and yeah! not leaking.... for an hour! All 4 have started to leak again.... Our buddy who introduced us to them has decided that if his tank caps don't work he's going back to smokes because it's just not working for him.
I am undeterred. There MUST be a solution... I just have to find it. Cleromizers to the rescue! I ordered a couple and then several more once I found they didn't leak so bad (and then the vision version 2 came out - my favorite so far, Have a couple and ordered several more). I have found I do have to clean them out daily or I find the taste to be terrible.
Now I'm trying different liquids. I loved the VK red and white. But I was a Marlboro smoker for years. My boyfriend smoked Winston. I just kept ordering different bottles most of which I could handle but there are three bottles of different flavors that will never be used in this household (no, I did not know you could order samples). On the other hand we've also been through 7 or 8 different types of (tobacco) flavors and my boyfriend can't stand any of them (except one I recently found at a brick store that just opened up). *sigh* So finally he decides to try the "fruity" flavors... I'm not complaining because really, he was a 2 pack a day smoker and he has cut waaaay back. I now have PinaColada, Mad Cow, Watermelon.... I tried vaping them and the throat hit was the most terrible nasty icky... well you get the drift... I have found it's that way with ALL fruit flavors. Tobacco flavors seem to be the only ones with throat hits I can stand. He on the other hand is happier with the fruit flavors but still hasn't quit smoking.
We have been under a tremendous amount of stress so I'm impressed that I haven't gone back to smoking. I just wish I could find a solution to help him. I think in the end it's about will power. I WANT to quit smoking, I feel so much better... He just hasn't hit that point yet.
I am currently using a 1000 eGo twist with vision version 2 clearomizers. (swapping out with my eGo-T batteries when the twist needs a charge). We both discovered we liked the twist better (turned all the way down) with SR clearomizers. His biggest complaint is that it is too big. He does use it in the house or when we go somewhere in the car (because smoking is no longer allowed) but is mostly back on the analog at work/outside. I *know* there is something that will help him quit. I just have to figure out which system is going to work best for him and his tastes... Any suggestions?
