Awesome Nitemist & Scootness.....there is just something about that first month that is so exhilarating especially if you have tried to quit and failed after a couple days or weeks. Just remember....be prepared to be attacked by the analog zombies at all times...they have a sneaky way of surprising you between months 1 and 3. :thumb:

I'm sure both you are like blood hounds now as you can detect a burning cigarettes from 100 yards away.....crazy isn't it?

+1 for smelling them. I smell a cigarette and I'm like someones smoking.... then I drive a mile and see them.

And congrats on your one month man! Great Job. It feels great huh?!?!

Nice! Me too, just hit my 30 days on 4/16. Although mine has been a bit more drama free than yours.

Glad to hear it Scoot! for some strange reason, I seem to attract drama (not always looking for it, but if you keep your eyes open, you see it a lot) SOME drama is good - keeps you thinking! ;-)

A hearty congrats Nitemist. 30 days is a big milestone, keep up the good work! By the way, I'm jealous that you are saving money already as I won't break even until June 28'th. Oh wait, there's another sale coming up ... make that July 28'th, lol. Congrats again!

LOL! When I got my starter kit, my wife's reaction - "You spent HOW MUCH?!?!"
when she got the point that the $45 I USED to spend at the res is a lot less than the $30 or so I spend on supplies... and my telling her, flat out, that I really DON'T want to go back to analogs... well, what COULD she say?

Thanks everyone! I quit smoking the day I got my kit in and it's been great. It's taken me a little while to figure everything out but this site has helped so much. I started with V2 (agh!) and made the switch not long after to V4L and couldn't be happier! For any newbies - be sure to go strong on the nic level to make sure you don't crave a cig. I did 11mg and it worked for me but was a little lacking. I switched to 18mg a couple days ago and now I'm fully satisfied! I can feel the nic difference, vape a bit less, but the big thing is the TH (especially when drinking).

I've been experimenting with juice/carts but found that I always come back to V4L so I think I'm done searching companies. I've finally found my mainstays - 18mg Kamel Menthol, Smilin Menthol, and Dunhall if I feel like a "regular". And I've already converted 5 of my friends! Happy vaping! :)

WoW - lots of parallels! I also started with 11's and quickly switched to 18's - MUCH easier now, although as time goes on, I plan on stepping down a bit on the nic levels... My first attempt was with a gas-station e-cig that lasted about 4 hours before going dead (equal to 2 packs my ....!), but someone at one of my delivery stops turned me onto VK and I haven't looked back. I'm hooked on Nuport, but do plan on trying a menthol (former pot smoker here:) ) sampler at some point. I live above a pipe/cigar shop (yes, that made quitting, (pre-PV) HELL, but I like the guy that owns the shop) and asked the owner to try a dunhall that I got as a gift from V4L - he says it's VERY close to the actual tobacco... maybe give that a whirl later on...

SPOT ON Snow! each day I get more and more sensitive to it (I AM determined though, not to be one of THOSE former smokers!) for quitting before PV's...
2 rounds of xyban...
3 trips through patches...
1 week of chantix (they are NOT kidding about lucid dreams... had one SO bad that when I woke up - had my wife said 2 more words - I probably would have HIT her, and got my .... BEATEN for it! at that point, I saw a choice - keep smoking and keep being married - or take a chance... and probably lose the best thing to ever happen to me... NO choice there)
2 trips EACH of gum and lozenges...
PV was my last hope, and it's been good for me!

Yeah, it really does! It's nice to bring the groceries up the stairs, hang my turn and keep strolling into the apartment, WITHOUT having to pause and get my breath back! TY for all the warm wishes folks! Let's do this again at day 60, yeah?
