OP: I feel for you, but consider yourself lucky that there are places where you live where you can even still smoke or vape indoors in public.

I hear you since I spend alot of time in Ohio. Curious Raven1, have you tried vaping in restaurants or bars in Akron area, and did you get stopped?

We continue to have more and more restaurants go smoke free in Kentucky. We usually sit in smoking areas so that there is no question about vaping.

Our Outback just went smokefree a few months ago, and business dropped dramatically as far as the "regulars" said the bartender. Used to be you could never get in without a wait. There was several tables open when we went, and all barstools were empty except one or two. Big change!

We asked the waiter if we could vape. He said sure, no problem.

I'm finding that for me after 6 weeks no analogs, I don't really HAVE to vape in a restaurant. I am less addicted than I was on analogs. It is a pleasure to vape and I have stealth vaped in malls, the sports club, the movie theatre.....

By the way, one of my fave bars in Cleveland, "The Rush Inn" Lakewood. Good food.

Once upon a time, the worst insult you could give a waitress was to leave only a penny for a tip. If you left no tip, they would just think you either forgot or were too cheap to tip. The penny told them you hadn't forgotten, but they hadn't earned a tip.

Conversely, leaving a tip (bills) with a penny on top was the highest compliment.

I'm sure such subtlety would be lost on most people today. "Service with a smile" is a lost art.

Is not lost in my home country, that is the way you tell them they didn't earn the tip ;), we are old school I guess:D
