And above all, I want it to be reliable. No chance of any parts arriving DoA, any replacement coils having issues, nothing. I'm looking at probably a Provari (black with green LEDs :D, not sure if full size or mini though). I'm open to suggestions for either another mod to get, and definitely open to tank suggestions as well. I prefer glass tanks so that I can vape any liquid I want.

There ain't no such thing. Everything has problems.

Personally I like my Russian 91% on an eGo-C Twist, but it does look a bit silly. And you have to wire and wick it. That's more work and if you get it wrong it won't work well. I've also heard that it leaks if you lie it down. I've not experienced that myself, but I've only had it a few days.

But then I also like my PT2, which you have had problems with.

Have you tried an RDA? No problems with those that aren't obvious by looking, but you need to drip.

So, you want to know what everybody else would do with $300? Because you said nothing about how you like to vape, what you have already, or what you're trying to get into, besides 'a provari maybe'. And who doesn't want a provari?

I could tell you exactly what I'd do with $300 devoted towards vape gear, but you're not me. So to give a good recommendation, I would ask for more info on how/what you like to vape.

If you really just what to know what I'd get, a sentinel mod with a crown rda and a couple sony 30a batts.

Currently have a Halo Triton set, and an eGo-Twist with a Kanger Mini 2. I'm not hating what I have by any menas, but I've always been the type to...overindulge in any new hobbies I pick up. I'm hoping to stem the tide of incoming devices by just buying something top of the line early on.

Black with green LED sounds cool in full size.

Always been a fan of the black/green color scheme, and something like the Provari looks nice and sophisticated in my mind. The addition of wraps also makes it really easy for my ADD to change the color of the device.

As far as dripping goes, it's very possible I'll end up getting a dripping setup at some point, but for now I'm currently a full time student and a 25~ hour/week employee, so I'm generally on the go.

My first transition from Egos' was a black full sized provari with blue leds. Its great. I like my new MVP2 as well.
Just get something that checks ohms, its a plus in my book.
If you get a provari, expect 1 out of every 5 18500's to be bunk. At least that's my experience. And don't skimp on a charger. Get a good one. And a battery case, cause you may need to swap batts mid day.
My MVP2 has dual threads so I can use my ego on it if I want. The provari needs the adapter, which gets lost. And the MVP2 lasts me 3 days on a charge.
Both great mods. Just great.

Does your $300 have to cover batteries (I recommend at least 3) and chargers (I certainly recommend a backup)? If so, you're at about $225 to spend on mod and juice delivery device. The mod is like the amplifier in a stereo setup and the juice delivery device is like the speakers. There's no point in buying a nice amp if you only have money left for cheap speakers, and vice versa.

A ByLeo ΣΟΦΙΑ (Sophia) Rebuildable Atomizer will cost about $90 shipped from Greece, and a IBTanked carto tank (with spare glass tube) to put it in about $35, depending on size. A pack of Stormy's Vapor Cellar Kanthal NR-R-NR ready wires is only $10 or so. (you did say you wanted the best possible vape, right?) :)

So that leaves you about $100 to buy a power supply, aka "mod." I'm not a fan of clones, but that's where your budget leaves you now, if it has to buy batteries and chargers. The HCigar Nemesis is well reputed and you almost have enough to Kick it. Of course, if the budget doesn't have to bear batteries and chargers, you're in ProVari range.

I second the buy a Reo notion... but be sure you have all you need, batteries, ohm meter, rm2, charger, wick and wire... go through and find whats best for you... just remember whatever you do read up and be safe on what you are going to be doing...

you said you want something that is going to work... the reo is the end state for me, all i care about is getting more reos, and more rm2s... i could get something different but... why mess with a beautiful thing...

ProVari, IBTanked Tanks, Sophia By Leo, Plenty of your favorite juice...Nuff said!

As you can see in my signature, I loooove my Minis! They are just so darn versatile. You can use anything as small as the 18350 and as big as 18650 with extender caps. It's the best of ALL worlds in my opinion.

I prefer the taste of dripping above anything, so if I were to spend $300 on high end gear, it would be for a Reo or at least a VMod. Toss in some batteries, a charger and a couple of LR atties to round it all out.

Realistically, I would probably grab a Vapor Zeus and a Prestige Pipe so I can get my cigar and pipe fixes in electronic form. And I'd still have nearly $100 left over.

You mentioned being quite busy and needed something that would work on the go. I believe the Provari fits that bill. I assume you know about it's warranty and the reasonable repair fee's after warranty. I don't know anything about some of the other apv's mentioned and the one's I do I've never heard about their warranty or repair fee's.

IMO the best bet for your specifications is a mechanical Reo and RM2. Any clearo, carto or tank suggestions I can think of will involve the occasional bad coil. That leaves RDAs (no tank). The only way to get that as reliable as you're asking for is to use a bottom feeder. The Reo is IMO the ultimate BF for reliability and performance.
