306 and 510 Cartomizers

Can one of the Veterans answer this question---what is the internal difference between LR 306 and 510 Cartomizers? I had posted this question in the regular forum but so far have not received a reply.

I know very little about 306 cartomizers. But last year, I wrote an article about the 306 atomizer (which would be the distinguishing portion of the cartomizer). I assume that many of the comments (and contrasts with the 510 atomizer) would be applicable to the cartos as well, especially since your focus is on the "internal" difference.

I urge my fellow veterans to step in to correct and/or amend.
