36 is VERY high and may cause you to loose your socks...take it easy to start and becareful...I was a 3ppd smoker of light ciggys, I started with 12mg and it was not near enough and moved up to 24mg and it was too much, I have settled in with 16-18mg juice...we, each havvta find our own level so, good luck and Happy vaping.....

I was a pack a day smoker, full flavored, and started at 18 which was too much for me. I backed down to 12ish, and now I'm usually floating somewhere between 5 and 11.

Buy some PG and VG and cut the juice down, I think most people who buy juice at that strength are doing so to cut it down and stretch their dollar.

...the quickest way to dilute is to add some DISTILLED water or goto the drugstore and get some HUMCO brand glycerine USP...if you look in the DIY juice forum, you can find some juice calculators to figure what amounts of what to add to dilute...think of it like this...if you got some HUMCO glycerine and added it 50/50 you would reduce you juice to 18mg juice...this will reduce flav as well..............

My story is very similar with madjack's above. I have tried 36mg and I can quite safely say you would have to be misusing your device in order to require such a high concentration of nicotine. With the right equipment and e-liquid you can get great taste and massive throat hit without using 36 mg.

I moved up to a 5v device and use the 801 atty or dual coil cartomizers (2-2.5Ω) and they "hit" just fine with 18mg or even 12mg.

Should you find that 36mg is too strong, you can dilute it with PG or VG. You will lose some flavor but USP grade VG is readily available. Another thing you can do is to order the same liquids (assuming you like them after trying them) in a much lower concentration (aka strength) of nicotine. Then, you can mix the two together and the resulting liquid will have a lower concentration of nicotine.

All the best!

36 Works for me. Anything less satiates the urge. Does not really give the same head buzz or pleasure that a real smoke gives.
With that said. I only get that feeling with the first smoke of the morning. Every smoke after that, is just to stave off the headaches.
Since I have started vaping, I use the higher dose in the morning. Then switch to a lower dose. Especially since I cannot keep the darn thing out of my mouth.

I started with 36 but I was a 4 PAD smoker. After 2 months, my body told me to drop down to 24. Again, 2 months later, my body told me the same thing...time to drop. I vape 18mg but once all of it's gone, I'm going down to 12 which I've been vaping a little of every evening and it's not making me have a noticeable side affects so I think it'll be an easy transition when the time comes. Basically what I'm saying it to listen to your body for symptoms of too much nic...headaches that hit all of the sudden, dizziness, nausea, and so on. If that's happening, drop down and listen again.

I was a pack & a half (2 on bad days) a day smoker for over 15 years....I started at 24mg but it wasn't enough so I went to 36mg....briefly. too much. ordered strong/extra flavors & pg to dilute & got to my "happy spot" around 30mg. the problem with ordering high mg juices & diluting to stretch is loss of flavor...unless you add more or order "double"/"extra" flavor to start with diluting throws off the taste big time. & remember that 1st time smoker head rush? even this nic-o-holic felt that again at 36mg :)

I use a 36 mg first thing in the morning (honey flavor and it's yummy) and then drop to 24 then some 24 I dilute with a few drops of distilled water and VG in the evening. Seems to be working well actually. I do the 36 on my 510, use either a blu or 5 volt box day time and drop again to blu or 510 in evening. So far it's working. (yes I'm refilling the original blu cartos or some other cartos I got). It all depends on your body. Listen to it it will let you know.

36mg of nicotine?? isn't that too much?I am around 18 and the 24 seemed heavy.. Do you vape all the time? what about headaches?
It is a lot, and too much for a lot of people, but some people do need it. Some people smoked more, or stronger cigs, or inhaled deeper and held it longer, all contributing to getting more nic over the years and thus needing more nic in their juice to quit. :)

I was a ~1.5 PAD smoker for 37+ years and I used 36mg for well over a year. I needed it to keep me off the analogs. I gradually cut down to 24mg and stayed there until fairly recently; I cut down to 19mg a couple of months ago. I figure that I'll probably cut down again sometime this year but I'm not losing sleep over it. My goal was to quit smoking and I have.

If you plan to dilute the e-liquid you should buy the same flavor in a lower nic level and combine them. Otherwise, you'll lose flavor.

looks like easiest fix to keep taste is to buy the same liquid with 0 nic and it will half the strength and ill just get a mixing bottle... thank you all for your suggestions and opinions but I would like to conserve the taste too!

Yep ,that would be the quickest and easiest way to preserve the taste too. :)
